Nice! I like subaru's! Just bought my lady 2006 Legacy Wagon in mint condition.

*I hate the seats in it though.

I love Subarus... owned them for 8 years now and loved every minute of it, other than the turbo cars having really expensive engines.

I ordered the Morimoto XB LED fog light direct replacements from Down South Kustoms(DSK) using promo code GMCLED and saved a few dollars. Can't wait to see how they perform.

The Morimoto XB's came yesterday, I just need to find time to install them.

I've been spending lots of time working on my rally car. I did a few things to it as of late and spent time doing some tuning.

Spec C roof vent from Japan, it's an OE part

New intake with DEI Reflect-A-Gold on it and an AEM Brute Force Dryflow filter and pre-filter.

The DEI stuff is working great! I think the truck may be getting a healthy dose of it as well on the intake parts.

I'm not finished with the tune on the car, but it's making 293whp and 315wtq at 21psi tapering to 17psi. That damn near 400hp at the crank! I'm very pleased. I should see 310whp once I'm finished. Next year bigger injectors and E85 should get me close to 340-350whp.

Sorry about all the car content, but it's my baby lol.

The truck is my commuter for now. Really wondering if it tow the 24' x 8.5' enclosed car hauler all that well. Trailer weight is nearly 4000lbs and the car weighs 3200lbs.

Anybody tow with these things? How do they do with the 5.3 and 3.42?

Starting to wonder if I should have gotten a diesel.

So there were a few issues with the install of the LED fog lights.

1. The washers on the balljoint screws prevented the plastic cups from seating correctly.

I cut them off with a Dremel.

9fe9778ec85a6db18b5347b33ef96ca2.jpg

This helped but fitment still wasn't great.

2. Polarity needed to be flipped to make the lights work. I cut and soldered the plug on the fog lights, as not to modify the truck harness, just in case I need to switch back to the OE fog lights.

No output or installed pictures it's pitch black out. I'll update with installed and output pictures soon.

Well better late than never... here are a few pictures of the Morimoto XB LED fog lights.

Very interesting light pattern coming out of them, but I like them a lot. They fill in the gaps just under my low beams and spread a good bit of light laterally past the curbs. Definitely brighter than the OE halogen style fog light. We'll see how they do in foul whether as fall is coming and so is the rain.

They look weird from the front, if you look at the light. They do not have the same appearance as a normal fog light. The light output looks a lot more normal in the picture, but actually looks like a T in the housing when lit up. Makes for an interesting look. Regardless, I still like them.

You could almost drive without low beams if you needed to, but of course the distance of the output and cutoff are shorter than the low beams.

Overall I'm pretty happy, no more yellow light coming from the front of my truck.

Looks good. Not quite a match on the daytime running lights but they're just fogs I guess.

They advertise the LEDs as 5500k temperature and the LED running lights are 4300-5k I believe. I know my 5k LED headlights are almost a perfect match.

The output is very good though. Better or similar output from the fogs than stock halogen bulbs in the low beam headlights.

I forgot I only had fogs on when I left the gas station last night, until I was nearly home.

Been away for awhile... not much to report.

I've not got over 56k miles on the "Big Bitch" now and I'll be needing brakes soon.

I'm looking into Hawk or EBC pads, and maybe EBC rotors, but most likely OE rotors. I've used Hawk on the rally car for years and have been extremely happy. A friend gets a good deal on EBC and runs their stuff on his race truck(Raptor) that he daily drives and has been really happy with them.

I'm debating on what to do, going to see if a sponsor can hook up the tow rig with some brakes before I go to EBC.

I'm also considering some 34's and a 2.5" level/lift this fall. Might wait until the Duratracs are worn out... probably in another 20k miles. Im also thinking about getting some different wheels, maybe some +18 offset 18" Methods? I don't know... dreaming right now.

So many ideas, not enough money or time.

Caught it at 55555

Also bought this and getting ready to sight it in and start shooting more often. Guns are another hobby, they are machines and tools just like cars and trucks.

And I also race these things

I've got too many hobbies, but if I don't stay busy... I'd go insane.

Swapped pads and rotors today with Hawk LTS pads and Centric Premium rotors.

The OE stuff made it to 61k before starting to fade and warp.

The new pads and rotors stop really well. The Hawk LTS's have a similar characteristic to my Hawk HP+ pads on my WRX... they bite harder as temperature rises with little to no increase in pedal pressure during stopping.

The initial cold stop isn't so great, but every stop after that is really good.

Just got the rears done today, and it's a whole lot better than the OE stuff. Just the fronts made a huge difference the other day, but with both ends done... it's a night and day difference. Stoping on the highway from 80mph, is no big deal. The OE stuff had me questioning whether or not I could make the stop.

As always, I'm very happy with Hawk pads, they never let me down.

Are the brakes pretty noisy? Ran some carbotechs on my sports car before the truck and they were LOUD lol

The LTS' are silent, so far(~200 miles on them).

The HP+'s on my rally car are very noisy and very dusty. See below.

Thanks!

I debated on pad and rotor choices for awhile, but settled on these. Spent just under $400 on Amazon with free shipping for all 4 corners.

I had considered EBC yellow or orange pads and upgraded rotors, but I didn't want to spend $600 on brakes.

Nice, thats a pretty good price for 4 pads and rotors! Been looking at the stop tech cryo rotors. Those big brake kits are very tempting as well
