2015 GMC 2500HD CrewCab Duramax Vibration...

Update on mine: The did the RFB on tires, also replaced three of them. They were pretty easy to work with on this one.

However, over Thanksgiving, I took the trailer out and the vibration was back big time. Also remained after I dropped the trailer off.

I've brought it back in for round number two but no responses yet on the issue.

I'm pretty patient, but stern. I told them I'd be happy to give it three tries, but then a Buy-back is coming hard.

Goodluck man my truck was in the shop 15 times before 5000 miles because of this issues they agreed to buy it back only if i purchased another truck so i said ok test drove 3 of the same trucks different colors all had the virbration issue some worse then others but for shits and giggles i said i wanted the charcoal duramax to replace mine. Even tho i didn't want it bc of the vibration was worse then my truck to begin with. I wanted to see what they would do so here it is for the same truck same msrp just different color they wanted over 7500 out of my pocket for them to buy back my truck and put me into new one not including the sales tax etc.

They replaced two more tires, and ordered them direct from Goodyear this time so we'll see how these ones do. They said that the first replacement batch had bubbled up since they installed them.

I'll pull a heavy trailer tomorrow to see how they hold up.

Next step is 4 non goodyear tires at the dealer's expense.

I want so badly to love this truck.

Update on my truck: 2 more visits in the shop. First for a road force balance, the other because the road force balance didn't work. Hours dealing with the General Sales Manager, Customer Experiance Manager, Senior Operations Director and Owner............. They inform me that my warranty is voided and they will not touch my truck all because it has a 2 1/4 level lift and oversize tires.

NOT HAPPY!

ALSO - the dealer informed GM and I received an email from GM explaining they will not warranty my truck issues.

The dealer currently has 6+ new trucks on its lot with lifts........

You won't get any help from the factory, they know there is a problem and have their hands full of stock trucks with this issue. If you have altered the geometry at all it gives the an out. I have a '15 denali that cant even be aligned because I have a 3" leveling system.

I am new to this site and only found it looking for information on the problem with my truck.

I have a 2015 K1500 Denali I bought two weeks ago with 6.2L and 8 speed tranny. I had it a noticeable shudder between 30 and 45mph on or off the accelerator and then at 60-75mph it was noticably worse. I told them about it and when I went to sign the paperwork and pick it up they said the tires had flat spots from sitting on the lot so they drove it and said it was all set that they just needed to "relax" the plies in the tires.

I drove it off the lot and immediately brought back and told them it was doing the same thing. The tech took it for a ride with me and we went back to the shop where they said they pulled the tires off and one was slightly out of balance so they balanced it and should be all set....they only had it back there for less than fifteen minutes so I doubt they did anything.

I drove off the lot and it was doing the same thing. I went back to the dealer and told them and they set up and appointment for later in the week. I took it and and they told me that they put a pico scope on several points and vibration was way out of spec. Told me they replaced three tires and road force balanced all of them until they were perfect. I picked up the truck and once again the issue was still there with no change.

I read another post on this site about a fix to reprogram the 8 speed transmission control module so I brought it in and showed them the fix and they did the reprogram and once again told me it was all set. I drove off the lot and nothing has changed.

I called them immediately and set up another appointment and after two days (drove by dealership five times and it was in the parking lot every time) they told me that GM engineering told them to replace the torque converter. They ordered one and I am bringing it back in on Monday to get that installed.

I have a little over 2,000 miles on it now and there are times when it shakes so bad I feel like I should pull over.

I will post when I get it back next week and update if this fixed the problem but I don't have a lot of faith given what I have read so far on this issue.

I think buy back is going to be the next step.

I really want to purchase a 2016 Denali 2500HD Diesel. After reading through this thread I’m very skeptical about the purchase. I decided to call GMC customer assistance today to inquire about the issue.

Please forgive me if I’m not 100% accurate I was not taking good notes while on the phone with GMC.

The first representative I spoke with told me she is aware of some reports and the Truck is operating as is correct. I kept pushing for further info and the rep said I would possibly need to speak with marketing support, they may have more information. The marketing support rep told me that she never heard of the issue but would connect me with another customer support assistant. After being connected to another rep it took me awhile to make the rep understand that I do not currently own the truck but that I'm interested in purchasing one and wanted to find out if a fix has been issued to resolve the vibration that current customers are experiencing. The rep kept scurrying around the issue and finally told me that she came across some notes in the system. She told me to ask the dealer if they have the current version of PL1354 diagnostics (from what I understood this has something to do with the Oscilloscope Diagnostic Kit), this obviously shows that they are aware of the issue. I flat out asked several times are you aware of the customer complaints about the vibration issues and never once received an answer.
I have not yet read through all of the pages so this may have already been posted. The following website is called TechLink, the September 2014 issue talks about a vibration issue (not saying it is related to this one).

My 15.5 Denali HD, Duramax had some vibration at highway speeds stock vehicle. Swapped tires to 275/65/20 Duratracs and the ride is much better. No more high speed vibration.

265/60/20 Goodyear SR-A's. I had them on my 2011 and didn't really care for them other than you can mile them out. I wasn't thrilled when I traded and got them again.
