SarahsGMC
Dealer will offer around black book as a trade. This is what Black Book shows it at. Black Book® Pre-Inspection Trade-In Estimate 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 $9,865 - $12,665 Never heard of black book everyone here goes by nadaReturn to stock & you will get close to 15k. It looks too hacked up in its current state. I would say 8-10k depending on mileage and seat stains. You can't return it to stock. Not sure what your idea of "hacked up" is this truck is 100% done right. Yea there were broken parts but its all fixed now.Do you have a need for a duramax?I've got a few job offers hauling camp trailers I can't do it with a gasser and I can't keep scraping by with this factory job so I'm considering selling this for a diesel so i can get into that line of work

KARNUT
Whoever built my Pontiac's drivetrain got KILLED when they sold it. There is a 9 second nova nearby that was for sale for under 30k with a nice custom paint job. You know he's loosing a boatload on that car too its almost always cheaper to buy someone's toy, if you know what your doing. Cars like yours can usually be sold without losing money as long as you don't go too insane. They are always going up in value. Get your pot of coffee or gallon of diet coke or what ever your vice is & READ/RESEARCH it to death. Also look into Haul & Tow. Some of those set ups are cheaper than a dually up front, haul more, last longer. Can load stuff back to northern IN as you have a flat deck vs dead heading back. Companies may promise a ratio of back hauls for a dually, but from the guys I know doing that, it is nothing to count on. Know this is all off topic from your truck sale question, but just saying before you go too far with the idea. Not saying it is NOT doable or anything of the sort, just know all you can before diving in.
KMGZ400
Maybe around 8 to 9k around me... If it was stock probably a little more, if you really want to sell it take all stickers, subs, led lights etc or whatever you have on it
SarahsGMC
If you read the first post at all you know that none of that is going with it. I'm just inquiring on some honest prices. But these numbers below 10k seem ridiculous to me.
Daryl Z71
And really torsion bars aren't a bad design. The fact that they've been in use since 88 and are still used on the HDs today should be a clue. Taking all that pressure off the front and putting it onto a crossmember further back which even balances itself if the pressure on both sides is even is a good design I think. Exactly. Nothing wrong with torsion bars.

But these numbers below 10k seem ridiculous to me. They gave you what you were asking for . Their opinions. I would give for your truck 8-10 G's. Just because I'd have to spend 2-3 G's to bring it back to stock. That's the bad news. The good news is that you don't have to sell it to me. so long j-ten-ner
Carder09
10K median price seem's very fair IMO. All those mods come with cost. I am thinking of the long haul, part's to replace due to hard angle's and such. Truck wasn't designed for such and you pay to play. 12K would be my MAX offer. Though yes, my truck was only a 2WD and had the 3.23 gears with the LT2 package, I only received 7K from the dealer for it. They actually sold it for 10K, priced at 12.5K, as to make their own profit margins. But like you, I did do some mod's but told them nothing of them. What they could see is what they knew about it and to them, everything was in damn good shape! They loved the exhaust and how everything was so clean and new, being I replaced A LOT of parts with new stuff. So in reality, they would mark your truck up to 15-16K maybe with advertising all the mods you have. Though I think they would only be able to sell it for 10-12K themselves cause anyone who knows about modding is they all come with a cost. But like I said, all my opinion and I could be damn wrong but just a thought.

But these numbers below 10k seem ridiculous to me. I didn't say don't sell it with that stuff on it, I said take it off to sell it, it will make it easier. The only way you are getting over 10k is if you can find someone who wants a modified/lifted truck and there is a limited market for that. Regardless of the lift, it's an 8 year old lifted truck with 140k on it and it has new trans in it already, I know that would scare me away as a buyer. That's just my opinon though
Daryl Z71
Stock GMT800's with 100k or so miles go in the $15-20k range around here. That's why I snatched mine up for $4800.
RyanbabZ71
Just for reference my 2000 ext cab sold for $13K in august of 2009 with 89K miles, basically what nada and kbb stated it was worth It's not apples to apples but I thought I would share Ryan

But these numbers below 10k seem ridiculous to me. Something you build will always be worth more to you than someone else who's not emotionally attached. People always want a deal, whether buying new or used and will shop till they get it. Rarely will you get what a vehicle is booked at IMO.
