Same here, for some reason I thought they were supposed to come on in reverse. Our, am I incorrect?

Pretty sure I answered this a few posts up, but I'll do it again...

On all my DenaliHD trucks that were equipped with these from the factory, they DO NOT come on automatically in reverse. They are not intended to be reverse lights. They are intended to assist with backing into dark areas, provide extra light for loading/unloading, etc.

Do his kits come with the harnesses or is it $899 for just the mirrors. If not I'd have to save for a lil cause they are adding up with what's needs to be done. His at $899 is the cheapest I seen for the mirrors I just happen to search and see those OE ones and thought dang $500 bucks is a good deal. I'm in the military so funds aren't unlimited by no means I just like this mod and was seeing how much stuff is needed and how much it'd cost me to see if I could even do it.

That price is over 2 years old. GM raised the cost on the mirrors awhile back. New price is $1029 for the pair.

It was about a $65 increase per mirror.

All - I did another simulation video here of the intended operations of the Towing Mirror lights.

Since the first video was shot at night and I had diodes in the BCM, my results were actually not as the factory intended.

All diodes in the BCM have been removed for the purposes of this video.

Enjoy!

I asked this before but I can't find the answer.

The pin 11 in the X500 connector is the larger connector in the door jam or the one from the door harness?

Need to wire up the tow mirror running lamps to this as I am currently wired to the window switch light.

X500 is the door connector in the hinge. In the video, the LED that is temporarily connected to the Park Lamps was landed on Pin #11. You'll want to remove the X500 Connector and see if you have the mating pin on the Body Side of the Connector.

According to the Upfitter, Pins #9 and #11 are present on 2016. For 2015, it shows "Not Occupied". So unless you have options to Tow Mirror in the RPO, these are most likely not loaded on the Body Side. Based on my experiences working with other members here with Tow Mirrors, we are finding that these pins are not loaded and will need to be added. This is the same method that is referenced in the RZY Harness Instruction Manual. It seems that the Turn Signal circuit is present.

In order to add these two if they are missing, the Courtesy Lamp Circuit #1430 lands in the X61A Junction Box, and the Park Lamp Circuit #709 lands in the X50A Fuse Box (Under the hood).

Same applies to the Passenger Side. Passenger side can just tap with the driver's side once ran.

Hope this helps.

Are the mirrors supposed to fold when you put the truck in park? My 03 Avalanche would. Our, do they only fold automatically when you use the remote to lock, and unlock the truck?

I believe auto fold options are with the key fob (press and hold lock/unlock) for LTZ/SLT owners and if selected in the DIC. I don't think there is an option during gear shift.

This thread is awesome and awful all at once. I'm a little overwhelmed and I'm sure people will be ready to jump on me for posting this, but have sincere questions.

One, has anyone tried these mirrors on eBay? I only noticed these popping up in the last couple months. Looks like a great deal. http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHROME-NEW-14-17-Silverado-Sierra-Tow-Trailering-Mirrors-MANUAL-LED-Turn-Signal-/302132184865?fits=Year%3A2015%7CModel%3ASilverado+1500&hash=item46587b4721:g:giYAAOSwXeJYJB02&vxp=mtr

Second, I have the regular mirrors on my late 2015. Power adjust but thats it. I'd like to add the tow mirrors that adjust, have clearance light, and backup light. I don't care about powerfold and heat (live in MS). Will these mirrors work? I'll just need to order a harness for each side and then take to dealership to flash?

Thanks,

It is a great thread. But I started it to help people covert OEM mirrors. It got overwhelmingly out of control and here we are.

I'd probably start a separate thread if you want to know information about cheap eBay mirrors. This thread is geared towards OEM replacements. You'll probably get more answers that way.

Hey, I actually just got done installing a set of Ebay tow mirrors on mine! http://www.ebay.com/itm/232168806348?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

My truck is an SLE so I had DL8 mirrors which are power adjust and heat, which is what yours are. I had to order a custom harness from member "pgamboa" to make this all happen easier in order to get clearance lights, turn signals, and cargo lamps to function. However, on my truck my door connector was missing 2 necessary pins for pgamboa's harness to be plug and play as he designed. Not his fault but rather my truck not having two of the correct pins. He did send me some terminals that I was able to add to the connector to solve the issue. If you have any questions about it you can always PM me and talk to member "pgamboa" about it.

Also, I am happy with the product. Did have an issue with manual fold mechanism but I managed to get it corrected. I think they are pretty decent mirrors for the price. Probably wouldn't notice much difference from OEM tows.

Hope this helps man!
