So i figured it all out i own a 2015 GMC Sierra Denali HD 2500 after August production. i had the old small mirrors and wanted the new OEM Towing mirrors didn't want to chop up the wiring harnesses and make the truck come out of warranty so i did a little research with my parts department and figured out the proper parts and have sense installed them on my truck and they are working 100% as they should from the factory. You will need to purchase the towing mirrors and door harnesses. this involves replacing the door harness on both sides of the truck. the after my august production Denali HD had the 4th whole already drilled out and was able to do the whole process of installation in about an hour and a half. the part numbers im going to leave here are for the power fold chrome mirrors and power fold door harnesses.

Has anyone figured out if "Pratt Duramax's" part numbers will work on a 1500? The manual fold mirrors are kit 23372181 with harnesses 23171564 and 23171567. My 1500 harnesses (options DL3 mirrors and A45 memory feature) are the same as the 2500HD, but "Pratt Duramax's" mirrors do not show up for my truck in the parts catalog.

 

My existing DL3 mirror features are power fold, power tilt, puddle lights, auto dim, heated and memory. It seems like the mirrors 23221465 and 23241469 should work since the harnesses are the same.

I just removed my OEM Towing Powerfolds and installed Duramax DL3 mirrors and the factory harnesses from same truck. The RH Diesel DL3 harness is 23342722 and the mirror has the sensor. Do you think I will get codes? I just got done, wont drive it for about 1 hour... I will post back.

 

 

My factory RH harness was 23171567 on my gas truck with factory tow mirrors, left was 23171564. LH mirror 23351794 have to check the RH.

 

Also, anyone know the part number for the RH and LH door plastic and if you need to buy sealant separately, pn? I ripped a small hole in one, may as well replace them.

 

The first harness was a pain, took 45 minutes, second took 15. Save a lot of time and remove the speaker! Ha ha

So you didn't have to have the memory module re-flashed with new CALs? You only had to install the mirrors and harnesses?

 

I have a 2015.5 Chevy Duramax LTZ and everyone is telling me I would have to have the truck flashed.

 

I already have the correct mirrors installed and held of ordering the harness as it seems easier to just run my own wires to the mirrors (as had most of the owners on this thread). None of the dealerships around me are willing to install the harness or flash the truck. Well one was but they wanted to charge me over $1000.00 for the harnesses and labor.

 

Can't wait to hear what you had to do.

 

p.s. my doors also had the 4th hole already drilled for the mirror stud, however my DL3 (city mirrors) only had three posts and nuts so I install the tow mirrors with only 3 nuts.

This is for a duramax 6.6 2015.5 GMC Sierra Denali HD. so yeah i went through the whole ordeal with the dealership not wanting to install them quoting me anywhere from 400 to 1000 bucks just to install them. so i complained to GM Corp rate they ended up sending me a $1000.00 voucher to buy whatever parts i wanted used that to cover the mirrors. Bought the harnesses straight up with military discount of course all together spent like $300 for both harness and installed them myself. I have had Zero issues with the new install on the OEM mirrors also didnt have to take them to the dealership to be flashed or reprogram the truck its completely plug and play system for the 2015.5 GMC Denali HD 2500 so i assume that any one with the same options as my denali will work, Power fold works Amber running lights works as they should and the rear flood light work injunction with the bed lights. Hvae had them on my truck for about a week not a single problem to date. Very easy process to install if you have ever changed out mirrors on any of the older models. And for guy that live in PA i go to NC Diesel Performance and ask for Nick hes the owner and my brother in law he helped out with the install and knows his stuff located in Carlise PA off the pike.

My guess is that your RH mirror is GM part #23351798. Did your towing mirrors come out on your truck from the factory ? If so, what is your RPO code in the glove box ? I would also be interested in knowing the build date of your truck as well. As far as you getting a CEL from what I've read, I think you might but, there is a lot of conflicting information on this swap all over the net. Sorry I don't know the part numbers for the door plastic. Thanks for the heads up on the speaker removal.

Just drove it for 45 minutes, no CEL.

 

Yes, factory tow mirrors with door harness date code 7/23/2015. I have the Max Trailer Package and The Outside Heated Power- Adjusted Vertical Camping Mirrors. The big Chrome mirrors that power fold. Will miss some features but I like the DL3 for my needs.

 

What do you guys think my mirrors and factory door harnesses are worth?

You just installed 2015 Power Fold Tow mirrors and harnesses and posted you paid $300 for just the harnesses? I am not selling DL3 mirrors, they run $300 for the pair. I am removing Powerfold Tow mirrors and the harnesses.

so your selling your power tow mirrors then id say 1300 or so for the mirrors and harnesses but do what you want man.
