I tried messaging you but it says your not receiving messages. I have new 2015 silverado oem tow mirrors. I didn't realize they dont powerfold till after I bought them. I'm looking to see if your interested in trading my none powerfold oem black tow mirrors for a set of your powerfold black oem tow mirrors. I know you charge a 150$ more for the powerfold so I'll pay the 150$. Let me know If we can work out a deal. Thanks

Thanks to this helpful post and a helpful parts guy at me local dealership earlier this year I got the correct towing mirrors installed on my truck. Mine came with the small city mirrors.

As it stands now I have the correct DQS Mirrors installed. Everything works except the Amber clearance Lights and the white LED lights for backup assist. (technically I have the amber lights wired up as turn signals, also learned from this post but I'm going to remove this)

I went back to the same dealership today and the parts manager pulled up the GM Bulletin that tells the dealer- ship what to order in regards to door harness as well if BCM needs new CALS or if the memory module needs new CALS.

The parts manager determines from my VIN and body codes that I need the following:

Driver Door Harness - 23171564

Pass Door Harness - 23171567

Memory Module needs new CALs

(Take in mind that I already have the correct mirrors installed. Chrome capped, manual extend, power fold, power adjust, passenger temp sensor [Duramax Engine])

I get ready to place my order and the Parts manager calls over the service manager AND I kid you not the Service manger refuses to install the harness and perform the flash. He says he's been working on another truck just like mine for over 16 hours and has yet to get everything to work; and as such he tells me and the parts manager that his shop will no longer be taking these types of job. Basically he tells me to go kick rocks.

I have since called 2 other local Chevrolet dealerships, none of which know what I am talking about and then they just want to take down my information and tell me they will have their service managers call me back.

Does anyone know of any dealership in the Houston, TX area that can help me? Can installing the correct harness and flashing the truck be that difficult?

Looking at the bulletin and reading it's instructions I could easily install the harness myself. I have A LOT of practice getting the door panels off as I installed 3 different mirror types until we got it right earlier this year. Flashing the memory module is where I will need GM's help.

Thank you to anyone in advance that can help!

@bbarns... GM says they can get the correct harnesses and a BCM CAL but no one can figure it out. Not even GM. You're wasting your time on harnesses and labor. It will cost you SIGNIFICANTLY less to just hardwire those two options and be done, with the same exact results.

I too think this is the path I'm going to need to take. I'm going to see what the 2 dealerships I left messages with have to say first.

This Saturday if I don't like what I hear, I'm running my own wires. Did the install shop you had wire your truck mirrors lights tap everything at the BCM?

Got ahold of a directechs.com account and found what I needed to wire them up on my own. Their directwire database is the sh!t.

2015 Silverado Wiring

Parking Lights (+) Purple/Gray (Left) ; Gray/Brown (Right) - Underhood Fuse Box, blue 58 pin plug, pins G1(L) & F1®

Reverse Lights (+) Blue/Brown - BCM under dash, brown 26 pin plug, pin 26

I know what I'm doing this Saturday.

Probably one of the most informative replies in this thread. Thank you for your research.

Keep in mind those leds are NOT designed to be reverse lights. They are designed to be cargo lights. [emoji106]

I intend to hook up the LEDs to the cargo light/switch. I just need to find the proper wire.

I was going to hook up the LEDs to reverse lights but have rethought that path.

I will post about my install and where exactly I tapped for the light sources.
