2014/15+ HD PowerFold OEM Tow Mirrors (The Ones We've Been Waiting

I have my tow mirrors on order, and hope to have by the weekend, but for the install I have a question for the wiring gurus among you. I would love to use the mirror adjustment selector (left/right) control to activate the LEDs when either of them is pushed. In other words, regardless of which mirror adjustment motor is activated, have both lights come on. Probably a crazy idea, but does anyone think this is possible? I've looked at the wiring schematics on upfitter but am now cross-eyed. Looking for ideas!

Hey SS,

Would you be so kind to give us an update on the next shipment of order scheduled to go out ?

Placed my order on last weekend. I know your busy , so when you can.

Thank you

Will you please keep us updated? I'm wondering what the dimensions of the 3 outer studs would be compared to the 3 on our older trucks and if simply removing the 4th would allow them to work. If there is a doable solution, I'll be all over these for my 2010 Dually.

I swore I read somewhere that since the bulbs at the front are halogen that when the lights turn on and off at the front it wouldn't confuse the LEDs.

As to the caps. Yes they are on there tight and it does feel like you're gonna break something but you won't but you need a curved tool type thing. I used a flat tip screw driver that was curved at the tip like a hook and it made it was easy but you need to start at a corner thats where they are clipped.

Hey man, finally got to take those covers off! Damn that was a pain!

Ps: for anyone thinking of taking the chrome overs off to paint match them, this is a pain and you will think you are going to break something! My money is beting that most people who try this themself, will cringe about 3-4 times

I figured out how to disassemble them to paint the chrome. You first need to pop off the lower mirror. Just pops right off. Next you need to remove the upper large mirror. This one is tricky so take your time....I originally found a YouTube video for the older style mirrors and it comes apart the same. You need to lift in an upward fashion different from the lower mirror. Once they click up, you can remove the mirror. Once both mirrors are off you will see a few torx screws that hold the black plastic surrounding the mirrors. Be careful with upper mirror and plastic assembly because there are wires attached for turn signal and LED'S. Now the chrome covers can be easily removed without breaking any clips. Assembly in reverse order...enjoy.

I can take pics of them disassembled to show anyone if they want. Any other questions pm me.

*I am not responsible if you break them so do it at your own risk*

Finally got my mirrors on order. I've been debating on it for the two months I've been home from deployment. Thanks SS for all of your help. My wife didn't even know I ordered them until we went out and had a few too many drinks last night. She said as long as it comes out of your allowance money and not the joint account...Lol allowance ?...yes please. I'll post pics when I get them on.
