I received my power mirror switch today. Plugged it in and the drivers mirror works but the passenger doesn't. Has anyone else run into this? Is the right/passenger mirror defective?

I read, on another message board, that a passanger side mirror switch is required for the passanger side to work.

SHAMOKIN on here did it without any other add-ons. I don't believe my truck has a passenger side switch. Just the windows over there. I'd have to double check

Did your existing mirrors have turn signals, heat, etc?

You're probably right but with the random issues some were having prior to using the resister, I thought it might be worth a shot. It just seems odd that one wire could be hooked into the passenger mirror and that would power both but not the other way around.

I'm trying to wire my led's so they operate by using the cargo switch... i have a 1ohm resister in line but where do i terminate it? Do i go to cargo light fuse? where is it? thanks!!!

Answered my own question... It's in the passenger side interior fuse box. For some reason though when i plug a jumper in to test it... Only the right side worked. I'll have to run a wire from the drivers door for the led's.

However I hooked up just the driver side marker light to the underhood fuse box and both driver and passenger worked.

Yes..My truck is an LTZ that had the original tow mirrors, power with signals and heat. The left one works great and everything works on the right one except the power fold.

For some reason it seems the LED's need to be hooked up seperately but both ambers will work off one connection.

I'm in the same boat here. Everything is hooked up with new mirror switch. Left works great power fold etc. Right mirror all functions work except power fold. What is your part number on that right mirror? Mine is 23241467. Any ideas here folks???

I hooked only one wire from passenger side and both work great but I also have them connected to puddle light wire

Well the issue appears to be that my driver harness has 3 additional wires that the passenger does not. If I plug the passenger mirror into the drivers plug the power fold works. It does not appear a harness will solve this as it would need to come from dash to door. Option could be to tap into power fold wire on drivers harness and run it across. Anyone happen to know what wire the power fold signal is on driver mirror plug or the mirror switch?

Very weird. Mine were plug and play in regards to the Power Fold on both sides... Early 2015 Denali HD which had old style tow mirrors before ...

Yes I agree! From the other forum(duramax) it appears the switch they reference is for a Denali trim. You also have a Denali correct? I wonder if it allows power to feed to the mirror harness?

Yes mine is a Denali Package. I'm not exactly sure but I sold my old towing mirrors to a customer with a 14 Silverado, we plugged them all in and sure enough no function on the passenger side mirrors. We are wondering if we have a switch issue there as well?

Well I just read the entire duramax thread. It explains the issue this way. If you have a truck with power fold option but have memory seat functions its the problem. The driver switch for the powerfold does not send a signal to both mirrors, only the driver. This is where the passenger switch comes in. They explain a signal is sent to the passenger window switch which sends it to the bcm and back to the mirror. They are replacing the passenger switch with part #23129535 and it appears to work at least on a 15 2500. I suspect it will work on a 14 Silverado as the part shows it will fit and lists it for a 2014 SLT/Denali trim. This may explain why yours worked as I suspect you have that part number on your trim. Does the other guy have memory seats?

All this for phreaking mirrors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have memory seats...I'm going to order the passenger switch and see if that resolves it. On another note, for those ordering the new drivers side switch, I don't believe the trim piece we've also been getting is needed. When I removed my old mirror switch the opening apppeared identical to the opening on the new trim panel, should just need the new switch then pop into the existing trim piece. (At least on my LTZ that had power mirrors)
