I got a call from my local GMC dealer today. They are a little wary of helping until they get some assistance from GMC, understandable. Has anyone gotten a dealer to help with installation?

I do not have my mirrors yet, but I called today and asked my service advisor to check with GM tech support to see if they can assist. If I hear anything positive I will post.

I heard from another dealer who says they talked to the tech line and they said they would not offer assistance to flash the truck even if the customer had all of the parts. Typical GM party line. I hope with time they will reconsider.

Got my tracking number for Friday delivery as well!


Maybe I overlooked them, but did anybody ever actually post pictures of how they rewired the mirrors? And does anybody have any tips or tricks for pulling the doors apart to mount the mirrors?

I know we weren't supposed to get off topic in regards to purchasing these but I'm going to toss my .02 in and hopefully put a little knowledge out.

 

I got a set of these mirrors through my GM Distributor and also ordered the Power Folding Mirror switch. My 2015 Denali HD was originally equipped with the old style camper mirrors RPO Code DPN....

 

1. By simply installing the Mirrors and Power-folding Switch Assembly I instantly gained the Power-folding feature.

 

2. I also replaced the complete door harness with one from a truck that originally had RPO DQS, it indeed has 3 additional wires from what I can tell, however upon installing, I gained no other features (backup, marker lamps)

 

My gut is either this will indeed require programming or the dash harness (which is what this door harness connected to, is indeed different as well on the 2015.5 models)

 

From the factory they are indeed Marker Lamps on the Front Side and not turn signals. I'm not to worried about getting these to work, as there is illumination wires going into the door as all of the door switches light up at night.

 

My big concern is getting the LED's to come on as designed. The one I played with at the dealer the other day, did not have the Reverse Lights come on when in reverse, but instead came on when I pressed the cargo light button? With that being said are these truly for backing up, or just another puddle lamp? I've read this both ways
