Got mine installed. Actually pretty painless once you figure out how to remove the door panels. I took the easier route and have the ambers as turn signals and clear LEDs as puddles. I'd still like the have the clear LEDs wired as reverse lamps, but really didn't feel like running the extra wire into both mirrors.

I could probably just tie in the puddle wire outside of the door to a new wire from the reverse lamp fuse, but I'd need to know which wire the puddle lamp is. I don't suppose anyone would know where that puddle wire terminates, or what colour it is?

A couple of questions: did you have power fold non-tow mirrors originally? Did you have to run extra wires for the lights?

I emailed one of the GM Customer service reps and told him he had a chance to be a hero by researching the programming instructions and the wiring harnesses required to upgrade to the new tow mirrors. With over 30 sets ordered that is 24,000.00 paid by owners, the demand is there. If he comes through this will be the first time a GM rep has been able to do anything other than access status updates on production.

Yes, I did originally have the power fold non-towing mirrors.

I did not have to run any wires, I just did what is listed on the first page of this topic. The wires for turn signals and puddle lights are already existing in the harness that goes to the door, you just need to move a few of the wires in the new towing mirror's harness to match up. I didn't even end up moving any of the wires either, just used tap-connectors to splice the required wires together.

Any chance you can post up the steps needed to pull the door panel apart? I knew it cant be easy as the old body style to change (i put towing mirrors on an 09 half ton, and it was so easy to just pop that panel off where the mirrors bolt)

there is a video of the power fold on action on the first post.

It's amazing how important one word can be in a statement. I'll stand by mine hoping to see a better video and pictures of it on my color truck to make it so I can't resist.

You wouldn't know anything about the spot mirror?

I've been taking orders and shipping them as they are received by GM. Just a long backlog right now because of the passenger side mirror. Shouldn't be much longer before orders start shipping again. [emoji106]

How can I get in on an order!?
