Engine bay got you down...Clean it up with a new cover.

Another satisfied customer. All the parts came in but I was too excited and tried it out before I put the Chevy emblem on

Is that a silver Silverado? Curious how far off the color is? Mine is still holding on strong and well. Emblem too.

Ordered my pkg! Cover, emblem and 2 studs. Considering having it color match painted along with a couple other under hood things.

Does the emblem just stick on with double side adhesive?

Yes, it has double sided tape, just be careful pulling of the Cadillac emblem.

My truck is the iridescent pearl white. I'm thinking about a color match. I think that would look good with a lighter color like mine.

Here is what you are pulling off. You will need to pry it off as the normal fish line removal probably won't work due to the high lip and the thin adhesive foam. The spot in the middle is pristine foam that I didn't scrape off. The new emblem has that same thin foam adhesive. I used 3M molding tape on the outer edge of the new one. It helped reduce the domed effect as the Chevy emblem is alittle too flat.

Thanks for the insight. Much appreciated.

Love this Thread! How do these covers attach to our motors?

Check out post # 128, and you may see the two black plastic post sticking up on each side. Thats where the front snaps down. The back slips into brackets.

Added this to my cover on my 2016.

OK now that's snazzy. I've been on the fence on doing this but a Denali logo would look sharp on there...hmmm

Nice work, Sam...

I was trying to decide what to put on there. It was the fact that one side is way shorter that had me stumped. I was thinking the small Z71 emblem on the short side and the larger Z emblem from the custom on the other.

So I was at the dealership today and ordered the engine cover pins or studs or what have ya and also ordered the genuine GMC engine cover emblem that should be a direct replacement part to the caddy one. It is from the terrain engine cover part # 12620296. Hope this helps the Sierra owners who wanna do this the right way instead of super gluing wheel center caps ?
