just lowered my 14 Silverado!!!

Recommended Posts

I do rub a bit in the front and rear when I hit some bumbs in the road but only when the suspension has to make a decent amount of travel. Other than that, it rides smooth. As far as the pinon shims, don't have a clue. My local dealership installed everything. I hope this helps.

Cool thanks. What size are the tires?

Not my cup of tea. If you are going to do anything to a truck, it should be lifted.

Lowering a vehicle is for those kids with the Honda Civic type cars with the loud, ricey muffler that has a 5" outlet.

Nice looking truck, just not a fan of lowering trucks.

Ive done and like both but as mods go, a lowered truck handles and corners better, the ride and the fuel mileage stays the same, is easer to get in. looks good too. Lifting a truck looks good but, the ride changes, the cornering changes, bigger tires, harder to get in fuel mileage goes down. And the big thing for me, it slows it down.

Like I said, I've lowered all of my cars/trucks. I'm not a fan of huge lifted trucks but to each their own. I've never owned a Honda Civic with a "ricey muffler" nor an I a kid lol. However,I know what you're saying in terms of the "ricer" crowd. All of my past vehicles imo were lowered in good taste. I lowered my cars to improved handling at high speeds so there was actually a reason. As far as the lowering this truck, I wanted it to be different. I see nothing but lifted trucks where I live and it's over done imo. Again, to each their own.

Great looking truck! Love the lowered long bed look. Only short beds were available when I bought mine, but oh well it works. I'm putting on a 4/6 McGaughys next week with 24's. Will post pics when done.

Lowered trucks......[emoji107]

I'm not going to get mad or upset on your comment... I personally love lowered trucks.. it's what saved my life Feb 3rd 2002 coming back from Yosemite caught black ice and slid into the merced river. Thank god I was lowered. Cause if I wasn't I wouldn't be here today. So I'm gonna stick with lowered. Lifted trucks, stock trucks, lowered trucks all look good. I just choose lowered.

That's one of the wonderful things about the aftermarket, each person can play with their truck however they like. Personalization is a great thing. I personally lost interest in the lowered style back in the late '90s but if others didn't like it the trucks wouldn't still be around.
