Looks Great, how about drive line or half shaft shimmy in the front? I have the same set up and chickened out with the drop spindles. But after looking at your's know inspired again

Not my cup of tea, but it looks good. Awesome job.

Fair enough, thanks!

No offense but it was great until the second drop with the frame notching/butchering. :(

It's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's not butchered in anyway.

That looks great man! Very cool!

Needs debadged desperately, but otherwise two thumbs up

I think you're right, I just can't bring myself to do it just yet, hahaha. Thanks!

I like it. Nothing wrong with doing something different.

Appreciate it!

Looks good, I like everything you've done except the drop.

Fair enough, thanks!

Zero vibration from the front shafts, I spent a fair bit of time adjusting rear pinion angle and also spacing up the transfer case.

Wow that takes some serious balls to hack up a 50,000 dollar truck like that.

I don't see anything hacked up, we do lots of trucks. Whether it's brand new or 60 years old a frame is a frame. It's just steel.

I'm not even sure where we left off, but here goes.

Ditched the side moldings:

Put a 6" rough country lift in this Sierra for a customer of mine:

And then I got around to slowly installing the helper system for the rear. I spent a lot of time planning this out, making sure I kept the downtime to an absolute minimum, while still making this truck work incredibly well.

Here's the specs

2 gallon Firestone tank mounted on the framerail

554FC742-555D-4CE6-A9CF-B74D2E0DEF7D_zps

Wiring harness for the 4 (two lift, two dump) 3/8" Danz valves

F6149EEC-5DAD-4DF5-A02C-E0CEF609A8D0_zps

Switches mounted to the seat, left most switch is the compressor over-ride (primarily runs off the pressure switch, wired in the over-ride in case the pressure switch fails, etc). Right most switch is the up and down rocker.

About half-way through installing all the air stuff, I decided If I was going to weld in the bag brackets, I wanted to have the truck sit exactly how I wanted, so I would be happy with it and only ever have to do it once. So, I decided to go lower (yeah, everyone hates it, don't care). To do this I had to run smaller tires. Which led to me thinking "I'm this far, might as well get 22's."

So, got 22's.

Chrome won't do. Had them powdercoated, black. Surprised?

Here's how I lowered it more, got a Belltech drop shackle for the rear, and DJM 4" drop arms for the front. I was able to put the factory strut back in the front with the use of the arms, which made the truck ride much better.

Of course now my notch wouldn't be big enough, so before it got any lower, I re-did the notch and installed the bag mounts (finally). The air install took what felt like months and I couldn't be happier to finally have it operational.

Some random pics of removing the old notch and installing the new one, this absolutely sucked.

At this point, I was set up finally to lower it entirely and install the 22's.

Lowered more, aligned and washed up, this was the first picture I took about an hour after we installed everything.

I was beyond thrilled with the truck at this point, it worked amazing, rode great and looked phenominal. Super happy. Things were starting to "get finished up".

The last weekend of August I was involved heavily with a friends drift event in Wisconsin, it was a 13(ish) hour trip one way for us, and I was to trailer the car, have the box of the truck loaded with a full pit setup and also haul myself and three friends and their luggage. This would be the best test the truck has ever had.

I'm proud to say it worked better than I could have ever imagined, it pulled everything with a smile on it's face as good as it would have if it were factory height.

Here's some random pictures from our trip.

Awesome job. Looks great! Always nice when everything performs properly, too.

Thanks, I couldn't agree more!

Looks awesome.. I like the #team recall sticker that's great

Haha, thanks!

Looks good. Those fender liners on the GMC kill it for me though.

I'll admit, I'm on the fence about them. I do intend on buying the paint-to-match set that GM offers in the spring.

Recently tore apart my headlights, had the same feller paint them and then reinstalled them. I am beyond happy with the "finishing touch" they gave the front end.

About 8 minutes after installing the headlights, I was on my way home when the truck started rattling like crazy. It had collapsed one of the AFM lifters. I wasn't at all excited about this, especially since I've been beyond anal with maintenance and oil changes on this truck.

Said collapsed lifter:

Decided I was going in this far, I might as well toss a cam in it and delete the AFM properly at the same time.

Mostly torn down:

All parts showed up:

-Katech AFM delete valley plate

-Cadillac racing hydraulic lifters

-Comp cam 624-500-13

-Comp cam phaser limiter

-Gm performance Non-AFM lifter guides

The Katech piece is phenominal.

Ran out of time today, but I am well on my way to being back together.

The truck is set to get tuned within the next week or two. I think this will be the best thing I've done to the truck yet. I can't wait.

Damn son! That's the way! Shoulda cleared those heads while you were at it.

Cleared the heads? Like ported them? I will port match them when I purchase headers for it (spring time), as of right now I was just trying to keep the down-time down and really have spent WAY too much money on it this year.

What a recovery! Bravo.

Any chances of coilovers?

Haha, thank you!

Coilover suspension?
