Used a length of bar stock to hold the light bar behind the grill. If anyone is interested, I can post/explain the build I did.

I'd like to see your mount if you have pictures of it. I was thinking of doing the same

did anyone drill right through the rad support to hold the bar stock or did they make some sort of clamps? i don't see drilling 2 holes weakening it?

Not a huge fan of drilling through that thing. I made a clamp that uses U bolts to hold on the light bar. Ill attach a PDF that you can print, trace, cut, modify to your own needs.

The measurements of that specific template are for an 2015 GMC All Terrain Grill 30" dual row Light bar. Definitely do a mock up on your chev to ensure it works.

If it doesn't, well at least you got something to start with. More than likely you will just need to make that 50" vertical part either shorter or taller.

Hello-

I just purchased a 2015 Silverado LTZ......love it. I am installing a 30 inch dual row light bar behind the grill this weekend and I have a question that I need help on if anyone is able...

I want to tap into the high beam wire so that the Light Bar works with the high beams and the switch, which goes through a relay. What color is the high beam wire I need to tap into?

Thanks-

Ben

Anyone have a picture of an install behind a High Country grill? Bought a 30" Rigid dual combo bar. Should be here tomorrow. Wondering how much light will be blocked by the horizontal bars of the grill or if there is enough space between that light output won't be significantly affected.

Has anyone ever smoked a light bar so it doesn't stand out as much. I have a Sierra AT and every light bar ive seen behind the grill stands out like a sore thumb. One or two coats shouldnt knock the light output down that much should it? I also noticed Rigid has released a blacked out model at the SEMA Show. Unfortunately they're way out of my price range. Hopefully the Chinese knock offs will follow suit.
