What did you do to your "other" car (aka musclecar) today

Mustang Ecoboost loses 11% power on 87 octane.

And why did ford tune it for an octane(93) only available in select cities? That seems pretty stupid.

Those Mustangs around here will never hit peak power on pump gas.

Best here is 91. E85 is like 45-60 minutes away

I get premium fuel but why not 91 instead of 93. Most places I've been 87 is midgrade...we start with 85 here.

Higher altitudes ive notice have 85 as regular. Here we have 87, 89, and 91

Guy has an AGM 2012 ZL1 for sale less miles than my car for $41k. Dammit it's so tempting :(

If it had black rims i would probably already own it

I know they are going to hold their value long term. But curious how much of a dip there may be in the next 12-18 months when the Gen6 is on the street.

Seems the C6 Corvettes held their value pretty well, but now that winter has set in & a full year of the C7 they have fallen off a bit. Which is somewhat typical of winter with sports cars.

My point is optimistically this time next year a similar ZL1 may be $34-$35 grand?

That's kinda high compared to the deals we were sharing last year?

And wait for the 2016 ZL1, looking like 630~ HP judging by the. New CTS-V

High 50s this weekend, time to go choke on some more race gas fumes and then top off the tank again.

If I don't sell this summer I'm going down to 3" or 3.5" exhaust and quieter mufflers.

Okay, selling is looking probable, re reading that last sentence.

I plan to do texas speed headers on my car.

Look into them and pfadt (afe)

Ryan

I don't know if Pfadt is making headers anymore. They stopped making them for the Corvette a couple years ago because of financial issues within the company. They weren't selling enough headers to make a decent profit. Could be they're still making them, just not for Corvettes.

I'm planning headers soon. Most likely Kooks or American Racing.
