What did you do to your "other" car (aka musclecar) today

Interesting.

Appears to be a pain jane Camaro(maybe an RS, they had 10 bolt rears if not an SS) is that was stripped down (looks like interior is gone?) To be raced. Price is decent, if you want a track car.

Metal has been cut up for the tires. If someone wanted to "restore" it for street use it would need quarters and fenders at least on the outside.... Sounds like everything original is gone except for the 10 bolt shell, so useless(or extremely time consuming) to try to make it "original" or as close as it could get, but wouldn't be a bad "restomod" project if the floors and trunk are good, just keep the drive train and fix the metal, put an interior back in, etc. Also, its missing side marker lights which makes it looks like it has a bare bones electriack system, have to do wiring for lights, etc.

Transmission is M-21...don't think those every came on 10 bolt cars, so odd he would spend up for a trans and keep the 10 bolt for track use if that's the case

Guy in our club was hit by a train Sunday. Flipped 4 times. He was released from the hospital less than 24 hrs after the accident. Emergency personnel said the car saved his life. The train was cited (speeding 17 mph over limit, no lights or horn)

Wow! Glad he is okay.

That is why I ALWAYS look both ways before crossing railroad tracks. And never park on them while waiting for a light to change.

I have a feeling he will be getting a fat " oh, PLEASE don't sue us" check from the railroad, since it has already been determined its their fault!

Sure glad the guy in post 430 is OK. Know the next Gen Camaro are going to be smaller, but these things are near bullet proof from the various crashes & hits I have seen. Cannot imagine how the old Gen 4 F body would have looked in a similar accident, much less the driver.
