New Guy / Old Truck

Hi All,

 

Just set up a profile. My name's Andy and I live in Tennessee. Bought a 1990 GMC R2500 Suburban for next to nothing back in November of 12'. Just now I've got it running good after a new crate motor install, new accessories, re-built the front end, new exhaust and new tires. Also added a nice aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold & K&N air filter. Didn't do it all myself, had some help. I'm no pro mechanic, shade-tree at best. It's still got some kinks to work out so I'll be pickin' brains. Mainly bought the truck to pull a 31' Airstream but It'll be doubling as a camping/bug-out vehicle.

 

Since I've put so much in it so far I'm looking to paint it next and see about replacing the Turbo 400 transmission with something with an overdrive. This thing loves gas. Added some photos to the gallery. I think you all can see them.

 

Anyone else out there got the same vehicle? Thanks!

Welcome! I can think of a couple other similar vehicles on here. My last pickup was a 1990 Silverado.
