Have questions about a bed liner

I just bought a new truck and need some advise.  I am not sure if I should go with a plastic or spray in bed liner.  I have seen the pro’s and con’s to both.  I like the looks of the spay in, but I am not sure how easily it dents the bed and I am not sure how much, if any, it fads.  I am looking to own this truck for as long as it runs, hopefully at least 12 years.  I am not in constructions, but occasionally I will be throwing heavy stuff in the back such as wood and concrete.  Should I go with a plastic or spray in?  What are you thoughts and experiences?  Thanks in advance.

I don't know if this reply is too late, but I would have to stronngly push for a spray in bedliner.  Drop in liners will crack, water will get under them and rust out your bed, and they don't form as well to the bed as a spray in does.  A spray in forms to the exact shape of the bed, and will last forever.  Most come with lifetime warranties, so if you have any problems they will fix them for you.

I have a Pendaliner in my truck and it fits like a glove.  I had it my '99 before I got my '02 and when I took it out there were no rub marks or rust.  It fits so well that it can't move.  I think as long as you get a quality bedliner, you shouldn't have to worry about rust or anything else.

If I were to do a spray-in, I'd go Line-X.  Much better texture than some of the others out there I think.  In the back of my mind I somehow knew I wasn't going to keep my '99 very long, so I saved the money and went the drop-in liner route.

I also have a Permatech spray-in that I've been very pleased with.  Spray-ins are more $$$ initially but they also add $150 or more to the resell value as well as protecting your bed without damaging the metal/paint surfaces.
