Oh so you're the resident pro on DI injected engines now? Let me ask have you done any tuning with it urself? Any mods urself? If you have let's hear a lot about it?

I'm certainly no pro, but yes I have done some tuning and have a few mods. I'll post results of the mods as they come in. Again, these things are brand new, I just got the damn thing. Many mods that will be common in a year or two aren't even made yet. My LT's have been on backorder for months (but they're finally on the UPS truck). My CAI was designed for the 5.3.... Patience.

These results you speak of...let's see?? You even say we have little info? You contradict what you say also.

If you're physically or psychologically unable to click on links earlier in the thread, why would posting them again make a difference? There's no contradiction--we have a little info. Not nearly enough to display the engine's ultimate potential with various mods (many of which don't exist yet), but even the tiny bit of info we have now is enough to already prove your claims laughable (5.3's already accomplishing what you said a 6.2 couldn't do).

That video has a huge Dynojet banner in the background LOL. Wonder what the baseline was?

They'll have all that info when they release the kit to the public, just as they do for the 5.3.

Mine predictions are based off of racing trucks of this caliber on the street.

Well, at least you're being scientific about it. You what, read the stickers on the other guy's hood?

So, the new 6.2 is rated at 420hp. High side drive line loss is about 20% I believe. Putting approx 336hp on the pavement.

I put down 330 stock, but that was with 34" E rated tires. I'd expect somewhere in the 340-345 range with stock tires.

Can 64hp be created with tuning, exhaust, intake?? Is that what the big argument is here?

Heh, no, it wasn't anything that reasonable. 400 with bolt-ons might be a tall order, I could see people not believing that until it's done. No, he started out saying 400 would be difficult with a cam as well or a blower (even though 5.3's have already exceeded it with each). He said to maybe get 420, you'd need a cam and a blower and LT's, etc. I'm pretty sure that one will be proven off by more than 100 RWHP eventually.

This thread is like old times. If only Chevyboy knew he's fighting a losing battle...

Hey Rob! But this is the kinder, gentler me! See, I even use these things ===> :D

And you've raced a lot of 2014 6.2's with blowers on them, have you? Cams & bolt-ons? Cam, bolt-ons and blowers? Yeah, I didn't think so....

We've been over this jon, blown 12's and 13's...they are pretty quick. I just don't think the new ones will fare any better...not for awhile anyways. What's the weight comparison from a 13 to a 14?

Here's something to ponder. My previous truck was a '09 CCSB 4X4 with 5.3 3.42.. 325hp? My buddy bought a '12 ram RCSB 2WD.. 390hp 3.92 rear, and couldn't pull from me at stop lights. Explain please..

Also, using a calculator 0-60 in 6.0 for a 6000lb truck (had mine across the scales) requires about 475 flywheel HP. I'm sure this isn't the case, but it almost seems dodge rates their HP #'s at the crank, and GM rates them at the ground?

Gearing in the trans play a part in the 0-60 1/4 mile game as well as in the rear. Dodge seems to claim HP numbers but doesn't always produce performance numbers to back it up. A few times I have run up against a Challenger RT Hemi with my Geneses Sedan V6 rated at 323 HP and was no contest, one was my brother. My other brother has a Hemi truck My GMC has no problem with it also.

See, there's the "made up" part. The older 6.2's were nothing to sneeze at, but more than a full point of compression increase and DI gives the new ones a pretty significant advantage mod for mod.

The weights are within 100 lbs between generations.

Yes higher compression, but the new 6.2 only gained 17 hp over the last generagtion

Exactly my point...ah well..well see what happens I guess. I really do hope it's awesome and it makes big HP for little mods...I like LS motors

The original OP is going to be under a lot of pressure to supply some numbers at sea level after his supercharger is installed. It could be a great summer event with a lot of side bets if that's allowed.
