Cool place. Tons of pics, my phone died as we walked in so they are all on my digital camera. I will post when I get home tomorrow night. My 2 favorites were the 69 and 70 chevelles. The 70 had an LS7 corvette engine :)

Nice!

My cousin has two of those '70 Chevelle SS's with 396's. Cowl Induction. Lady in town owns a blue '69 SS with white stripes in mint condition. They are one of my favorites too.

Nothing turns my crank like a '69 Z28 though!

is it sad that I think GM could make a Killing by turning the Heritage Collection into a Museum?

Maybe or maybe not. Chrysler had something similar that closed recently due to lack of visitors. Ford on the other hand has The Henry Ford-http://www.thehenryford.org, which is an excellent museum, though not completely dedicated to Ford's history.

I wanted to visit the Walter P Chrysler Museum, and see the Super Touring Stratuses up there, but its now like the gm heritage collection; open for large groups, but not open to the public.

I haven't been to the GM Heritage Center but we'll see if Ryan agrees with me since I know he was there earlier today but the Lingenfelter Collection is probably the most incredible collection of cars under one roof that is viewable to the public. They only open it up a few times per year but it's an incredible place. Three huge rooms probably the size of a big school gymnasium full of all kinds of fantastic cars.

ligenfelter collection > gm heritage center

He actually purchased some cars from the gm sale back in 07/08

All driveable on battery tenders :) He had the bugatti up to 230 mph

Ken started up the Ferrari Enzo. Unbelievable the video I took doesnt do it justice being there. They normally only open the shop for charity events. He is a supporter of our club and bent over backwards to let us in. He even stayed while his corvette race team was running. Here are a few from his shop
