Constantly.

sent from my truck in a field

Being my age, way back then, they called it "inflation " As administrations came and went, a more disingenuous title floated to the surface of the financial much pond and it's name is "Cost of living" which takes in everything from trying to get your kids in a good school to flushing the toilet. Washington DC is in no small way, truly at the very core of the problem. And I say that because our government influences virtually finance around the world.

When the US dollar is weak, everything costs more, gasoline all the way to groceries to feeding the family. I'm retired and on a fixed budget. My last "Cost of living increase was $0.14 making 3 times more expensive to mail me my notice than it is worth. But Our 'Economy' is not the 'Economy' This year, of the top 400 millionaire's 10 years ago became billionaires. I like to think of it as Cuba aka 1958. Cuba had wealthy folks. So wealthy they never had any interaction with the poor way down in the streets for so long they just forgot about them. By 1959 all the wealthy had been run off shore 90 miles to Miami, Fl. But that's about where we are today. and fighting two wars for the last 20 years has racked up a whopper of debt. You have to sit down with a legal pad and a calculator and your bills and set up a monthly war plan, Look over what you own, what you really need/want ( This is important because you can't sit around feeling sorry for yourself all the while making you smile) and then take the max owed, percentage interest API and what you can pay off the fastest.

I've taken too much of your time, but I will leave you with one nugget of financial lessons learned, if you owe more than $50K, do not go to Bankruptcy, or if you find it the only way, file federal. and Do not go swapping credit cards all over the place. Banks have people watch you every financial move. Every family needs only 4 CC. never leave them stagnate for 6 months or more, but something cheap, and it shows movement and that your already with your back up against the wall. So "Don't buy, and always pay at least $75.00 or more on each and every Credit card bill per month. I wish you all well.
