I'm Back!

Hey guys I'm back on the forum. I guess I kinda dropped off around the first of March due to a couple huge home projects. I had a french drain installed all the way around the house. Then the big project was building, or having one built, a detached garage in the back yard for my Vette. I had to get it out of the main 2.5 car garage so I could get the Denali inside out of the elements. Now that it is complete, the sod is down, and the interior is all "Mancaved up," my wife says the truck has now cost $35K more. At least all my vehicles are under roof and I have another small "Man Cave."

As most of you know, most of my posts will be in the "Mods and Accessories" sub forum. I have already wore out the exhaust forum, but I still have a lot I would like to do, mostly lights and chrome. Of course, I get new ideas everyday from the forum. For example, yesterday, I was on here and saw the stubby black antenna...I ordered it immediately. My factory antenna hits the garage door opening everytime I go in and out. Just thought I would post a note and let those who may be interested know where I have been. I'm back now and will continue to share and do everything I can to help keep this the best truck forum on the net. Have a fantastic weekend!!!

How big did you go on the Corvette garage? 25'x40' would about right because it is a big car.

No...this was only supposed to be a storage building to keep the vette in. We cannot have a detached garage in our sub division....so it is simply a storage building that I choose to store the vette in. It is only 20x20 with an 8 foot ceiling. It was professionally built by a home builder with a huge case of OCD! It has heat and air unit framed in, lots of lights & wall receptacles. It is well insulated. I also installed the Race Deck snap together black & white tile floor. We affectionately call it the "Vette Shed."

Thanks guys, it's great to be back in the groove again. At least now I have all my vehicles under roof, man what a great feeling. The Denali had to sit outside in all the pollen and rain that turned it yellow almost on a daily basis. NOT anymore! We, in Alabama had more pollen this year than I ever remember. They said it was due to the cold weather staying around so long. Thanks again, it will be nice to get back to talking trucks, modding, performance and accessories, etc.
