I have the same stuff. I use the applicator pad to put it on. Let it dry and its good to go. It looks even better once it gets alittle damp in a rain shower.

How much did it sling on the paint?

Doesn't sling at all. If you let it sit for 20 minutes then it's good and won't sling at all. I only let it sit for 10 minutes the first time and it still didn't sling but it did run a little but.

Edit:

I will be driving around town and on interstate a bit tomorrow. I will take another picture tomorrow and show how it is. I even used it on the black fenders and on the black front air damn. Made those things look better than brand new!

Okay so I wanted to give y'all an update since I didn't yesterday. The tire shine is still shining nice. I tried to get a picture but the incredibly bright mid day sun is drowning out how the shine looks. I'll have to wait to get a picture this afternoon. You can tell it runs a little but I think it was just because I didn't smooth it out around the letters on the sidewall so the bits of gel that hadn't been wiped were the only things that ran. I also went ahead and put the gel on all the exterior black plastic pieces other than the black pieces on my running boards, and man does it make a difference. If y'all weren't going to get this stuff to use as tire shine, id get it for all the little black plastic trim pieces. I used it on the black parts of the grille, fender flares, rear bumper, air damn, fog light surrounds, that piece where the windshield wipers mount, and the small black stripes that go from front to rear of the top of the cab, and oh man. They are shining. But it's not a cheap looking shine. They look and feel like the truck was detailed.

I will say this however, the small black sponge applicator that comes with each bottle of this stuff is not extremely durable. Mine is still working well. But with how much more shine gel I have left in this bottle, I'm thinking of ordering a sponge applicator from Adams

Armor-all tire shine and no-touch is what I use, both products last a long time as long as your not driving in a lot of rain. Both don't give that real shine look is what I hate in some products, I hate that glossy shine to tires.
