Not that I recall. I think I was one of the 1st ones that reported this issue with these trucks, It was an 11 model. I was out of there by mid 2012 when I traded it for a 2012 Duramax LML. Below is the link to the thread.

Don't care what anyone says...The GM 5.3 will not take a Ford 6 cyl EB (all being stock). I've had both and my '11 Ford EB would eat a 5.3 GM for breakfast and look for more. LOL :driving:

I agree to an extent, however I have found that passing vehicles the tq band in the 5.3L actually feels stronger. Tuned the EB is a rocket in a full sized SuperCrew 4x4. Just a tune and we had trucks trapping over 100 mph in the 1/4.

I found that the EB is great for passing and that is the one thing I miss the most. I do a lot of driving on 2 lane roads and don't like to follow someone slower - I'm impatient. I found the EB could get around a vehicle much quicker than the 5.3 that I currently have. To me...the EB in it's stock form just felt much more powerful than the 5.3.

Mine was 2013, which we know has been de-tuned/more restricted even with the larger 51mm turbos. I know, personally, that at 55-70 the 5.3L feels pretty solid (I also am running 93octane--not a huge difference but a little smoother).

Now my EB pushing 21-22lbs of boost would absolutely rape the 5.3L and never consider using lube. Boost launching the EB in 4x4 would also kill the 5.3L. But just going from a stop to WOT...the EB has a little lag.

You guys are not like the ford crowd. None of you guys have bashed the ecoboost, it's good to know y'all are very truthful on this subject. Hell the ford guys eat their own even.

Well we just let it be at "Ford needs 2 turbos to get their vehicle going, we don't need any."

Yes but it's a 6 cyl.

Wkaesetter...why did you delete your post. It was a good one. :dunno: I won't tell anyone about it - honest. LOL

The only time a V6 sounds good to me is when you cant hear it, I had grand national Buick one weekend, couldn't handle the sound. Just have to have that V8 sound.
