Daryl Z71's 2006 Silverado Z71 Re-build

Pricing ain't bad, the expensive part is the install labor and obviously the paint. Or are you gonna get it line-x'd?

Install will be done by Dad and I so no labor, just parts, paint, supplies etc. Dad has a welder, paint gun, etc, and has done a ton of body work over the years. We replaced the same parts on my 88 pickup too. If it wasn't for him having all the experience I'd have never bought this truck. No way it'd be worth it if I had to pay someone to do the work.

I'm thinking about having the rockers sprayed by the local Rhino Liner dealer, but only on the insides.

What did the cluster repair run you? I need to have some stuff done to mine. The strobes in them are pissing me off. I'm liking the 140 mph escapade cluster they have but I want the red needles and white lights. But I figure mine will be a little more expensive than yours

With the up level needles I may be looking at about that but I don't need to add trans temp

Yea, I would think it would be a good bit less. I was originally planning to pay $240 for just the rebuild and a trans temp gauge. They suprised me when I called about having the red needles installed along with the cf overlay, and they told me it would be $250. The red needles I got were no extra charge.

I'm looking at the red and chrome they have listed as "premium"

Go find an old camaro (02+)in the junk yard and grab the red needles. They trim nice and clean right on the edges. I had them in my S10 and sold some extras I had for a silverado. Same stepper motor shaft diameter.

No point if I am sending it off for work anyway
