Daryl Z71
Pulled this out of my buddies 99 Silverado that has a blown rear end.
Daryl Z71
Installed my foot well lighting today. I already had the bracket on the passenger side, but not the drivers side so I swiped one out of my buddies junk 99 Silverado. I cut off only what I needed from the bracket: Then I mounted it in the truck: Ground the drivers side plug to the mount bolt: Passenger Side Mount: Ground that plug behind the glove box: Ran wire to drivers side: Then I wired up the hot wires for each side into the two gray wires with the black stripe: Then we have light: Since they're wired into the gray with black stripe wires the lights come on and go off with all of the other interior lights. Robert.jean1
Yep I'm definitely enjoying the read. Always good to see a nice truck being taken care of by someone who appreciates what they own.
Daryl Z71
Yep I'm definitely enjoying the read. Always good to see a nice truck being taken care of by someone who appreciates what they own. Sadly it's been more rebuilding then anything. The previous owner didn't seem to take care of it very well. Sometimes it's hard to believe that I'm only the 2nd owner. For what I paid I'm happy though, I don't mind fixing it up. Robert.jean1
Yeah that's the breaks, but sometimes you find a diamond in the rough and all it needs is a little polish.
SkippyG4
This is the most inspiring truck thread I have ever read. Glad i own the business i work for. I would have sent me home for killing so much time today. Have you said what you originally paid for this truck?

Still a little much, but I knew the truck needed a lot of work going into it. On top of that it's optioned exactly how I would want it if i was buying this truck new off the lot in 06.
Daryl Z71
Thinking of buying this when I get extra money. Going to need some switches eventually anyhow. I might even try and make my own, I'm not sure yet...
cjb321
i'd leave the labels the way they are, make passengers wonder lol. I'd wire an air horn to the purge button. I wonder if they make one for where the push button 4x4 switches go, mine is old school stick and i have the airbag switch in that spot you show. I'll prolly just make my own. Edited March 2, 2016 by cjb321

kstruckcountry
I'm thinking about running a line of switches along my leg on the console, might be an easier place to reach. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
