Daryl Z71's 2006 Silverado Z71 Re-build

I think I'm okay with the 5.3 for now, it actually runs pretty good. I was going to run the original motor until it died, but the fuel mileage is terrible right now. If I get a four wheeler I'd like to get better mileage since I'll be driving a decent distance to go ride it.

Will you at least cam the l33 or port and polish the heads

Probably not right now. Just looking for reliability, better fuel mileage, and smoothness right now. The current motor is barely getting 12 mpg.

I get 13.5 driving conservatively with my lifted 02. Something is wrong with this picture haha

Around town I get 13.... Highway 17+. The beauty of a stock height pickup. I wouldn't lift this pickup, I like how it's on rails in the snow.

I would consider an LQ4 or 9. Whatever you can get your hands on. Fuel mileage will actually go up for you.

I thought the same thing. I thought the LQ4 was just for the pickup trucks (excluding the Silverado SS)?

LQ4 came in Denalis, Suburban 2500, Yukon 2500, Suburban LTZ, 02-04 Sierra Denali, HD trucks, and Hummer H2.

Only things that got the LQ9 were AWD Escalades, the SS, 05-07c Sierra Denali's, 1500's badged Vortec High Output (RPO B4V), and trucks badged Vortec Max

They're polished aluminum. They're not as shiny in person as they look. I had them before on my 05, and they fit perfect so I figured I'd buy them again.

Polished aluminum can actually get very shiny and look amazing if you're willing to put some R&R into them. That's what my old M/T Classic 2's were
