I'll be interested in the retro-fit... been wanting to do something like that, but hadn't seen it done yet.

Look in the HID/retrofit thread. It's long but just look at the first 20 posts and you'll find some pictures of some retrofits!

Got some night pics for y'all. They are extremely close to realistic view. I took them with my iPhone 6+. No editing, did not lighten the pictures up to make them look better

To get the best realistic view, put your phone just above half way. First picture is through the 45% windshield, second is on the side of the truck, so it's pure headlight.

Mike,

As a side note for those LED lights you ordered for the running boards. Mine have been hell here the past couple days to keep them on. Lots of rain and cooler weather. I cleaned it real good and wiped with rubbing alcohol first. I would recommend putting a dab of silicon every foot or so just to help hold it up. I went the Duct tape route for now in a couple spots to make do til it's nicer out. Only other thing I had handy was E-6000 glue and I didn't feel like perma-welding them to the truck The tape is blueish colored so not too out of place. Just a heads up.

Got those lights on last night. They made a HUGE difference In the light on the side! Much better! Glad I saw your post about them.

For the stickie factor, I went ahead and put some 3M stick tape with 10PSI strength down the side of the entire cab behind the lights so they would not have any issues sticking to the cab over time. Shouldn't have any issues now! I even added a second set so that I can wire that to the puddle lights so the sides of the truck will light up when unlocked at night, will wire those in next weekend. Right now I just have the wires running into the cab.

Btw on the windshield tint for anyone who would be worried about it at night, it seems to make a much bigger difference during the day. During the day you can tell its darkened from the inside but at night it seems a lot like stock to me. Just wanted to give one more update about it!

Don't have any pictures of the lights themselves. I was in a bit of a rush and didn't think to take pics. But here's some of the output for those who want to see it!

I wired the reverse and cargos together but still have the diode inbetween but I added a wire so I can now have another wire that runs to a second light strip I added so I now have one light that activates only with the amp steps and the other turns on when the cargos are on which is also when the truck is unlocked at night

Looks damn good. It is a great upgrade. Subs installed?

Very cheap and great upgrade. And yes they are! But I haven't taken any pictures of them! Been too busy listening [emoji41]

They hit very hard when you turn up the power! IMO, 2 10s are great to have. These feel to me like they hit as hard and are as impressive as my 2 12s I had in my Yukon.

Kinda surprised I haven't taken a picture of the subs yet. Although it's not too impressive. Just a box under the seat

Here's the sub box! Yes there's a bow tie still on it. I am getting a sheet of aluminum this weekend since I have a GMC grille emblem getting shipped to my house. I will spray the red with truck bed liner from homedepot and stick the metal sheet over the bow tie and the emblem to the metal. Should be a cool custom emblem if all works out the way I want it to

Anyway, looking good so far. Should look pretty sweet once you get the GMC on board.

Yea Fox only makes them with a bow tie. They sell a GMC cover plate but I bought the box from one of fox's local dealers but the dealer didn't have the cover plate and Fox refused to sell me just the cover plate. And they never gave me a reason why either. So I decided I'd make my own

Hey, making your own is what makes it look the best. I like to fabricate, just never been real great at most of the projects I've taken on...but I sure can fix the heck out of something for sure...

Same here. Hope this looks like I want it to in the end!
