I just got the "lift kit" from Fox Acoustics haha. Just some cheap wooden blocks. Looks almost like MDF or Particle board but couldn't tell cause most of it has a cheap bedliner around it. I scratched some of it off to see what the block was made of lol

lol I have done so many google searches for a lift and nothing ever popped up! One more thing sorry to bug ya man! Im planning on painting my headlights the same color as my truck on the inside of them. do you think the halo light kits like you have will work or will the paint block the lights from shining...the color is diamond white but Im not sure if it would work or not!

it should work without issue. Not sure when you are planning to get your lights painted but I'm hoping to have mine painted in the very near future. My deadline is Christmas just like my bumpers lol. That way I can lay down paint on the bumpers and the headlights at the same time. I am also hoping to have my switchback boards by then cause if I don't then idk if I feel like opening the lights just to paint. Really want to knock everything out at once

But like I said, the lights shouldn't have any issue at all shining with the painted headlights. Not like you'll be painting over the LEDs! haha. And if you have any questions don't hesitate to send them my way, especially if its something I've done or you think I can help with. Always glad to help

I appreciate it! And im waiting on my grille and wireless lightbar to show up before I tackle this mess. I also dont know for sure im im gonna do the colorshift lights in the headlights either! But like you If i do plan on doing the lights Im gonna do everything at once because Im not gonna take the lights apart two times lol

by the way man them ten inch woofers you mentioned have some serious RMS! 750! I would have to buy a bigger amp because my amp only pushes 750 at 4 ohm load and its mono amp and even if i wire them in series parrallel It would still be 4 ohms although the subs were wired down to 2ohms! so I would have to drop some lettuce on a amp like the rockerfosgate 1500bd or something!

That's the amp I have lol. I needed it for my old 12s pushed 800 RMS. mike don't mess around [emoji23] lol jkjk. I tried selling the subs and amp for a year before I decided I needed more sound in this truck, then I decided instead of selling I'd just reuse what I could, to get the subs in ID need a custom box and to lose the back seats, so they stayed in the for sale ads but was able to use the amp so it's in the truck now haha.

Mike,

Question for you. The interior lights. I know you use YK glow pods for the foot wells. Is there a bulb for the dome lights that will change with the pod color changes or am I out of luck unless I want to do some major mods. I'm not even having luck finding red bulbs let alone ones that will change colors for the domes. Thanks bro.

Can you take close ups of the halos on the fog lights. .

yes I will take some tonight when I get back to my apartment. I also have some posted on my instagram if you are on there. Give me a follow and it will be one of the first pictures you see. project_white_diamond_tri

honestly, you'll need some real good luck, or to get someone to make some lights of riot to work. The dome lights on these trucks are LEDs so GM has them Soldered to the boards. So its not like older cars/trucks where you can just pop off a cover and change a bulb. These you'll need to do a lot more work to change it cause it was never intended to have to be changed.

Uhhhhhg figures. I think I'll lay the pods in and forego the dome lights for now.

Just saw the Instagram pics. So you busted open the ridgids, very slick. Do you or should you lay some silicone around the edges. Also where do you run the halo wires once installed, do they 3m directly on the lights. What LEDs did you use. . Sorry for the basic questions

not a problem, glad to answer them . They are not 3M'd to anything. they just sit ontop of the lights behind the lens but there is far too little room in there for the lights to move at all. So no worries about them ever moving out of place. You should be able to close the light back up just like normal when you put the lens back on. The DOT pods require you to do some trimming of some studs that are in the lights. I can send you some pics of the before and after trimming. The trimming allowed the lights to seal back up like normal. I just had to seal the hole that was made for the RGB wires to come out of the pod. I used some OCI rubber butyl to reseal the hole. Waiting for the first real big rain storm to see just how well it works. But I'm very confident that they are sealed 100%

Mike do you have any pics on how you wired up those entrance lights, under the footwells of the front/rear seats? Where are you pulling power from and what's your trigger?

Thank you in advance.

I don't have any pics of all the wiring. However I did tap into the solid grey wire in the top left connector under the black cover under driver side dash.

I ran the wire from there to the first pod which is stuck to the driver side footwell air vent, then to the passenger side and then the rear, tucked the wires under the center console, I split the wires at the back and ran to the respective sides. I can get some pics and PM if you'd like

What are you guys talking about?!? You can buy a new stock grille for ~$500 here

Wasn't buying a stock grille, I was purchasing a T-Rex X-Metal series grille haha. Also that grille came with a custom billet emblem that was worth another $150 or $200 I think

Only OEM parts this truck has gotten after I signed the papers was a driver assist handle and tow mirrors(: everything else is aftermarket only [emoji41]

Thank you Mike.

BTW - you really ARE OCD! I thought I had it bad but I do believe that you have me matched. When I saw how you have your driveway and grass segregated I had to laugh because this is something I'd do!

LMAO, that is actually my parent's house. I'm only 19 :rollin: . My mom did that, or well, she got me to put that in, cause the neighboring house has only been there a few years and all the mud before the house was built was loose and higher than our driveway so when it rained, you couldn't see the first 2 ft of the driveway. The separator used to be higher but the mud built up and eventually grass started growing so it holds all the mud in place

Every time I check this thread not only am I amazed by how much good work you've put into your truck, but also by how much electrical work you get done.

I'm your age but every time I see the BCM modules it makes me want to cringe into despair

Keep up the good work, the Sierra looks better with each update!

Mike, Hisdem - I can only dream that I had a truck like you each have at 19. When I was 19, I had a Mazda B2000 - 2 wheel drive, tiny, and probably not more than 1500 pounds wet. Whatever you boys are doing to have rides like you do at 19, keep it up!

And Mike that OCD must run in the family. I know it does in mine. :)
