Just ordered a Diablio Intune i-1000 tuner! $50 off and free overnight shipping from autoanything.com. Pretty sweet deal. Hopeully it will arrive by Saturday

I will be very curious to see how this works out for you. Is there any reason why you didn't go the Diablew tune route?

Well I got it for now since the winter is rolling in and the MPGs going down because of it, I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to try the MPG booster on the Diablo. Plus I'm now planning to upgrade to bigger tires right after Christmas so this way I can adjust the tire size calibration so everything stays correct and maybe I'll find a few other things to play with on there. I plan to go with a custom tune later on but after I get headers and anything else I want to do to the engine so it can be tuned properly

I'm interested to see the results of this tuner. I'm in MI and the cold is settling in... MPGs have tanked. I'm down to about 14MPG AVG(city) with the 275/60R20 Duratracs.

I averaged 15 MPG highway for the first 45 minutes of my trip home today (2 hour ride total) no traffic at all, just straight cruising at 70 mph. After the engine completely warmed and the transmission got to 150 degrees, it finally went up a bit more but only topped at 17

I normally get 20-22 the whole way.

Got the tuner in today. I ordered the AMP plug and play pass through harness so I can run my amps and the tuner at the same time. I'll just have to unplug the amps and use the tuner for the weekend. May just try installing the tune and then unplugging it and rep lugging the amps. Anyone know if the tune will work fine without being plugged in after its downloaded?

Thanks for the update Mike. Good luck with the tuner. Looking forward to your testing. Up here in the North East. it has gotten very cold like the rest of the country. My MPG's are down to 16.4 around town, from an average of 17.8.

Looks good. Just found out there is room under the seat barely for my JLw3 12" that has been collecting dust. might try and throw together a box soon. Might be overkill with a 1600W amp, but I did have it in my Z06.

If it's worth doing, it's always worth overdoing [emoji41] put the big subs! Just try to get a ported box so they really hit hard! I compared my dual 10s (mine is a ported box) to a friend with dual 10a (his are in a sealed box) and the difference with how loud they are is incredible! Of course, mine had double the power of his though [emoji23]

Ps. My girlfriend and I were on our way to dinner tonight and we had a song on with plenty of bass, the amp drew so much power it made my headlights blink on and off with the beat lol

Giant capacitor, 1 farad usually, in line to help with big amp draws on the system. will help/minimize lights from dimming. Car audio capacitor, strike cap (other names). They help a lot and are relatively cheap.

Not a bad idea, especially with all the computers in this truck. There is A LOT more power being drained or a lot less being produced by the battery in this truck than my Yukon because I used to use both 55W HID headlights and 55W HID fog lights in that SUV and it rarely had the lights dim on a good bass note, and when it did dim it was nothing like what this truck does. This one takes a big hit on the headlights TBH. Now that you are showing me this it may be the next thing I install. With how many computers are in these trucks, the last thing I want is for one to possibly get fried by a power surge somehow created by the amp
