same old, same old..... Although GM's absolute refusal to admit that cheap leasing sells trucks still bothers me, this is the "F Series best selling" crap....

glad GM hasn't killed off GMC to play this game.....

Interesting comments in the article. Not many people there drink the GM kool-aid there. Most do give credit to the GMC not being as ugly as the Silverado.

Biggest thing keeping me from wanting one is the headlights. Too many reports of them being weak. The projectors are a flawed design it seems.

Blah. The murdered out flatbiller trend needs to die.

Since when is murdered out a flatbill trend? I suppose I better let all the rural Indiana guys know they better take their ass to Cali with their blacked out trucks then...

I like the color matched look. To me it's classy. Have to have some contrast though. Tons of nasty chrome is the way Chevy seems to be going so you have nothing to worry about.
I like colormatched. My current truck is. But black wheels, black emblems, etc. is too much IMO. I especially dislike black wheels. They almost never look good and photograph horribly.

Flatbiller isn't a CA thing. I don't like black wheels at all and they're an essential part of that look. Along with a monster energy sticker on the back glass.

Stereotype much? I hate to tell you but that flatbiller style was started in Cali, hence the "west coast" name of that style. Now I would never be caught dead in a flatbill or with a monster sticker on my truck but to lump all blacked out trucks into that stereotype is total BS.

I'm sure the "style" started there but it is absolutely not limited to the west coast. And stereotypes tend to exist for a reason. It may not always fit but it's usually close. In the end it doesn't matter. I don't like black wheels with extremely few exceptions and I don't like the blacked out look at all. Unless you or your friends goal is to make a truck I find appealing I wouldn't worry about it.

I can definitely agree with that. Novakanes are the only black wheel I really like and they do have contrast. Favorite wheel is probably gunmetal OEM on a white STi, haha.

Gunmetal isn't black. ;)

I used gunmetal wheels on my winter tires on my Legacy GT and liked it. My issue with black wheels (especially on darker vehicles) is it makes the wheel wells look like black holes.

I apologize for getting a little bent out of shape, I just have a short amount of patience for stereotypes. Just because I grew up/live on a farm, wear cowboy boots, drive a 4x4 truck with exhaust, hunt, fish, own firearms and so one people seem to always automatically assume I'm a dumb redneck. Always seems to surprise people that I have a college degree and manage million dollar construction projects for a living. Guess you could say I have a chip on my shoulder, nothing personal to you Sir.
