20" Chrome Wheels

For those of you that have them, or have experience with chrome wheels, how often to you clean them? How often should you polish them? Do you polish them while new or wait until they are older? And I would love to hear what you all use to clean them, i.e. cleaners, polishes, soaps, steel wool, etc.

If they are chrome they should not need repolishing. I have chrome wheels and I do nothings special outside regular car washes.

They have a clear coat over the chrome. Treat them just like the paint. Wash and wax them.

I use a basic degreaser when washing (factory GM chrome 20" CK988). Then I hit them with Wizards power seal polish 2-3x per winter. Minneapolis winter roads are brutal on this type of finish.

I treat my wheels exactly like the paint, same soap and wax, but I wash them separately with different wash mitts to keep the abrasives in the brake dust away from the paint, no need for aggressive cleaners!
