Everything else feels so small

One of my friends had a 2000 WS6 Firebird. That was one of the few powerful cars I got to really drive good. Also drove a 2004/5 STI. That was probably slower overall but it launched like a beast.

Yeah, both stock, that sti was probably a second quicker than the WS6 to 60.

I'm wanting to test drive the brand new ones. Autoblog podcasts have been raving so much about how they drive, and now the new MT did the same. Might wait until the new Mustang is out in the fall and try both since the Subaru dealer is a half mile from the ford dealer. Then have the Chevy dealer a half mile farther meet me in the nearby large vacant with a camaro parking lot with the other and tell the three salesmen whoever wins the fight of three gets the sale.

I can visualize some of you absolutely freaking out when driving an actual sports(not muscle) car.

Lol, especially being in an older Vette when it suddenly breaks loose.(Can't imagine the Holy ____ moment the first time a Viper does it, I've heard and read about it, but its supposed to be a lot more sudden and violent)

Had my camaro out for the 1st time Friday since Jan 1st. I turned on to the main road and had to go fast because there is a good amount of traffic and you can sit there for 5-10 min if you dont go. I hit some loose gravel/sand from the nice winter conditions. Car took off but was almost completely sideways. I basically drifted the entire turn. Traction control was of no help, dont think it even had a chance to kick in. Up to then I forgot how much fun it is to drive

Back when I was 20 and had that BMW I was ticked at my friends for always insisting I drive since I could seat 5 people. all but one had very slow four banger cars or trucks, they knew nothing about cars, much less speed. I had been spending my time learning the limits of my car, so I decided to have some fun at their expense. Tjisbwas after most of the modifications had been completed. I had a new suspension and some sticky +1 Yokohama's.

So I drove like a "manaic" (their words, this was a regular curvy road thing for me, I knew what I was doing)down the country roads back from the lake. They have never taken corners that fast and were quickly turning ghost white begging me to slow down.....so I went faster.

They never asked me to drive again.

We have two vehicles, My DD is the '14 seirra 4x4 , The Wife's DD is a '14 Mazda 6 sport. I love the 6 but, damn it feels like I'm riding right on the road lol!

I go through this almost every week going from whatever rental I get from Enterprise back to my truck. Pretty much the only perk to flying is we use National at airports so I can pick an SUV instead.

What kind of real world MPG you seeing in the 6? I love the looks of them but don't want to give up my 100 HP for the new MPG gains......yet. Maybe if gas hits 5
