If it's not possible to put the All-Terrain grill - inside my SLT Chrome surround, the carriage works billet was my second choice. Have insurance replace my stock and then order up the billet inserts.

Here is my Carriage Works billet grille. Had the same brand on my 07 for 6 years and worked perfect so I put the same brand on my 2014.

Nice look. I like it.

It completely drowns out my low/high beams. Here's a pic in front of my house with only the grille lights off/on. This was the final prototype grille that Rigid Industries made for the 2014 Silverados after this install the design was sent off for mass production, they don't have prices yet but keep an eye on their website.

Anyways.

Does anyone know if it's possible to keep the SLT chrome surround but with the All-Terrain insert? Or do they come as a single piece and I'd have to have it painted to match?

Any more info on this? I've seen it done but how it's done or the part number I don't know.

I would also still like to know. I haven't even seen it done yet.

Are there no billet type inserts that are installed exactly like the OEM??

I don't care for either of the aftermarket options available.

I have the chrome mesh and want to change to a black billet. I'm sure with the overlay method, the chrome will definitely be visible. I guess the options are to spray paint the chrome, or cut them out, (don't understand that approach) which either way ruins a perfectly good insert.

They make the same grille as mine in black billet too. Fyi...I did have to cut out the chrome OEM mesh .

Question for ya.. If the stock chrome mesh grill is removable why do they have you cut it? Is the new billet grill attached to the chrome mesh grill left over from cutting? Thanks

I emailed Carriage Works, and asked what the deal was.

They list "Z71 only" grille inserts that are a "no cut replacement". Can't figure that one, as I'm pretty sure the grille frame is the same on all three (LT,LTZ,Z71) models.
