Trenz has a really nice looking black billet grille. I have never bought one so don't know for sure but I think they are all going to a "lay over" install type. Which IMO is tacky. I'd rather cut the oem mesh out of the way and install it from behind the grille surround.

I think I'm going to go with the black factory grill and black bowties..should look good on white ltz

I'm going to try something similar, gonna do the polished bow tie with the chrome trim that is around the (originally gold) bow tie in matte/gloss black. I'll post pics of how it turns out when I get the parts.

The one on my old 07 was a bolt over from Carriage Works. It took less than 15 minutes to install as all you have to do is bolt the billet grille over the existing grille with a couple of bolts and wing style nuts. I could of gotten the bolt over on the 14, but since mine had the chrome honeycomb grille inserts, the polished billet over grille just wouldn't look right with the chrome behind it. If I had the Z71 grille I would of gotten he bolt over one for sure. They offer 3 different grilles for the 2014: The bolt over for non-Z71, a bolt over for the Z71, and grille replacement that requires cutting out the honeycomb inserts (mine). They also offer them in Polished, Brushed or Black powdercoat.

So I managed to be following a semi this past weekend only for him to lose a couple of pieces of his load that managed to bang up the front of the truck a little bit. So along with the quarter size dent in the roof above the windshield, the windshield itself and any other dings he may have put into my truck, he managed to crack the inside of my grill. Since it's getting fixed on his insurance, I'm contenplating putting the All-terrain grill, inside my SLT chrom grill surround. That way, it just a suttal difference from stock but still have has that OEM look. As anyone pulled this off yet?

The other option would be going aftermarket to replace the whole thing. I know moto started a threat a while ago for all aftermarked accessories but I'm looking for anything new for grills. I'm going for a clean look. Not really interested in a T-Rex/RBP/etc. - it's not a lifted superduty and those aren't my style. So has anyone come across anything new?

I'd go with the denali grill but with the chrome SLT bumpers - it's just pushes that chrome barrier a little to far for my liking.

I'll sell you my SLT grille! ha

Carriage Works makes 2014 billet grilles.

Check your dealer's lot.. I know around here they had several SLT's with the painted grille inserts.
