I think the moral of the story was HOA's suck major donkey slong (for the most part). In my old condo I have put up many-a-fight over asinine HOA rules. Too many old ladies with nothing better to do. The first one was parking my race car in my assigned spot. She got hauled out almost every other weekend during the summer time and when she was parked, she was covered. Also a complaint about the smoke created when I light up my grill. They allowed charcoal grills (which was awesome), but smoke from lighting the coals? The last complaint was for hanging a U.S. Flag. That was the straw that broke this camel's back. I fought it, won and immediately put my condo up for sale.

How these people have the stones to fight someone hanging the American flag is beyond me....

Here's the kicker... not just someone. A veteran. If they complained of me hanging the EGA, I'd be peeved, but I would comply. The stars and stripes, no friggin' way. That shit stays up.
