LED bulbs

Just got rid of my 02 Yukon a few weeks ago for a new 14 sierra. If the bulb on ur sierra is the same as it was on my yukon, which I believe it is, u can try places like oracle (aka AACstyle.com), Plasmaglow, and Vleds, this is provided u still have the stock reflector housings. If you upgraded to projectors, like I did on mine, id suggest just throwing some HIDs in there. I had a cheap 55W no name brand from EBay. Worked flawlessly for over a year while I had them (would've been longer but I got rid of the car and left the Bulbs in there)

I herd LEDs are a better buy than HIDs

For headlights or off road lights? I know LEDs to be a more practical off-road light presently becuase they are instant on with absolutly no warm up required. Also they burn much cooler and much brighter and whiter. However, to the best of my knowledge and research that I have done, at the current time, LED headlights, at best, only reach a maximum of between 1600-2000 Lumens but can last an average of 15,000-20,000 hours. HIDs on the other hand, give off between 3,000-5,000 lumens (depending on whether you use a 35W or 55W kit)

This is what I know to the best of my knowledge and the research that I have done. May be more that I haven't found

So if HIDs are the better buy for headlights

What are the best HIDs on the market?

Very subjective question. If you want the best bang for your buck, many ppl on the K2 section of the forum have began to put DDMtuning HIDs in their cars. They are from China but have been great quality for all but one person, that I know of, on the forum who recieved a faulty ballast and just had it switched out for a good one. I personally am about to order some from HIDextra.com. They have a ballast that is OEM grade and a 25W ballast for the fog lights. They are more expensive but I'm hoping it'll be worth the extra $$. Also if you are putting HIDs in, I highly recommend putting in projector housings as they work far better with HIDs. Reflector housings, which come stock on many cars but I believe are staring to be phased out (thankfully) and those are supposed to work better with LEDs than a projector housing would.
