Universal LED Light Bulb (921) replaces all turn signal/brake/parking

I read that the the 921 bulb will fit in all places mentioned in the title of this forum topic? Am i being misled?

and do i have to get amber color LEDs for the front turn signals? or will the light from a white bulb be amber because of the orange colored plastic? same with the red brake lights.
