Towed a tow truck in the Atlanta Snow/Ice Storm

Here is my 2014 Silverado pulling out cars on a busy major highway yesterday. I even had to tow this truck up the hill. People were running out of gas and having to sleep in their cars...

A lot of it froze over and turned to ice. Snow isn't a problem, the ice is what made it so bad... Over 10,000 people slept in their cars on the interstates last night...

10,000 slept in their cars? Wow, guess I have lived in a small town to long!

My entire life.

This winter has been awful snow in the ground since December.

Do you guys have any plows or salt down there?

Few pics of what we have been dealing with. My wife has pushed a lowered honda civic that got stuck in front of our house and an F150that blocked the road while se was going to work. Actually listened to me and told the guy to turn off his stability control so he could get unstuck

We are severely under prepared. We never get snow or ice and the storm yesterday was terrible. I went today around 3pm to help teachers and kids get home... They were released from school 27 hours before...

We are prepared and they still could t keep up with it. Many towns are running low on salt and have killed their yearly budgets already. We are supposed to get blasted next wk. could be snow rain and or ice. We dealt with ice a few yrs back and it was horrible. It was like 2-3" thick

Yeah, it's nowhere near as bad down here. Everyone got out of work/school at the same time and it caused a HUGE mess. (Not sure if true or not) but I heard it was the worst traffic jam in the history of the US. It started at 12pm yesterday and as of an hour ago it was still bad.

Be careful pulling people out that are stuck. Had a guy here local that pulled a lady out who was stuck in the snow

Oh at the time she was very grateful about a week later he found out that she was trying to get him for damage to her car. Said he caused it. Had nothing to do with the fact that she ditched it. I won't tie onto no one. I'll give them a ride let them use my phone. But I won't tie into them. A couple of years ago we had a bad snow storm here a guy I work with called said he was stuck could I come by and pull him out. We'll I tied onto him. I got stuck. Another friend happened by. He got me out. The tied onto the other truck. In the process of getting him out he messed up his 4 wheel drive system and the guy who he got out wouldn't help him to fix his truck. Needless to say. I'll give someone a ride let them use my phone but I will not tie my truck onto them. Just saying be careful.

Staying in ATL for a few weeks. The day it snowed it took 1.5hrs to go what is normally a 20 min drive. Greatful I got back to my place before it got super bad. As it was saw a bunch of pretty bad accidents and cars slid off the road.
