The bugs of new models...

Recommended Posts

Well I see you must be more familiar with driving in cold weather there in Florida than I am. I only live in balmy Colorado. Remarkably I still haven't had any issues driving around in even below zero temps at times. Why so you suppose that is? Did I get a lemon?

No, a lot of people living in cold climates seem to have starting problems and other issues.

Just because I live in Florida now, does not mean I did not live in colder climate states before. I did, and I know how to drive in snow. Heck, one time I had to change the fuel pump (the old mechanical type) on my car in a parking lot with outside temperature being 10 degrees F.

You implied that I might not feel I could drive my truck anywhere if I were driving in under 32 degree F weather. Why would you say that if you live in Florida? Did you live in a colder climate with a '14 1500? My point is I got mine in November and couldn't get it into my garage for a couple of weeks due to selling my El Camino. We got some very cold weather while I was parking outside. -18 one morning. It was below freezing for 5 or 6 days. I started my truck with the remote to warm it up daily and it performed flawlessly. I know that you can read of trouble others have had here, but the overwhelming majority of us have had no trouble and are really happy with these '14s. I don't know how it will perform in hot weather yet, but you guys get all that in Fla.
