Nurf bars clunk when turning

Recommended Posts

Im trying to help a buddy of mine out by seeing if there is a solution for this. He just got deezee nurf bars on its 07 Ext Cab Silverado and the on is clunking when turning. Im sure it had to do with the way they are mounted on the body mount. anyone have this happen and fix it? Ive looked around on here and cant seem to find anything about it.

Thanks Guys!

Clunking of nerf bars mounted to the body bolts are a wide spread complaint. I suggest purchasing bars that only mount to the rocker panels like the OEM ones do.

Anyway, he can loosen up the body bolts and move them slightly- then tighten back up to FACTORY SPECS. I know on my 2011 that is 52 pounds of torque. The older trucks might be a bit more from what I have read.
