I've had two seat cushion covers replaced one on the last truck a 2104 and one on my 2016.

I''m a big guy when I turn to get out the side gets pinched between the plastic and my BUTT and it wears it out or stretches the material.

Mine split at the seams both times.

They are not to hard to change your self and not super expensive not sure about the full leather though.

I have the same interior and I'm in and out of the truck all day. Always afraid of this happing. I feel kinda dumb not knowing this but I heard this material isn't even real leather!! Wtf? Why? It would be much more durable. I'm guessing it's PETA or maybe GM thinks it's too expensive?

What a bummer Gesweck.  My seat cover was replaced on the driver's side. The GF left the seat all the way up so when I got in I immediately got off to adjust seat, heard a pop sound and noticed a 3/4 inch tear just ahead of where yours tore.   Took it in to my local dealer and they covered it under warranty along with my passenger side headlamp which had major condensation inside.

Today took the truck to my friend's shop for an oil and filter change, tire rotation, and a chassis lube.  Not in the mood to sweat in triple digit heat to perform the oil change.

The seat material in these trucks are definitely sub-par to any other vehicle I've owned. I have more wear and tear in my first 3000 miles than any car I've owned driven over 60,000 miles. Leather, leatherette, whatever it is it just doesn't hold well. The day I bought my truck I drove home from the dealer with my weapon holstered and it made a permanent indentation on my seat for only sitting there for 45 minutes, something that has never happened in any other vehicle I've been in. The other day my passenger was wearing a pair of jeans with a large button on the back pocket which is now tattooed into my seat.

Looks great. What did you use? An actual tint or one of the sprays?

Thank you

I used the wrap from amazon, I normally use the spray but didn’t feel like waiting hours for it to dry and have to tape everything off.

Took about 10 mins with a heat gun.

They only put a cheap quality leather on the faces of the front seats.  The sides are all vinyl and the entire back seat is vinyl.   I ended up replacing my factory leather/vinyl with Katzkin and upgraded to 100% leather after the black dye started flaking off my driver seat at 20k miles and dealer wouldn't replace it under warranty.  I even called GM and they talked to the dealer and told them it is wear and tear and my truck is lifted so there is more wear from getting in and out.  I called BS I have nerf bars I use to get it and out they just try to get out of any warranty work they can.  I was shocked they replaced my wheels after chrome started pitting and peeling around valve stems.
