What have you done to your K2 today?

Recommended Posts

I’m officially done with the first warranty of my truck. Just turned 36,000 this morning. Also a couple goodies came too. Heated steering wheel, and new leather shifter.

Infinity reference, they sound so much clearer. Gonna throw an amp on em soon and I'm sure they'll really shine then.

Performed the Front Seat Lateral Movement and/or Click Type Noise Bulletin. Bulletin # PI1366.

justin101714 for the bulletin # and advice. Took about 30 minutes and $18. I’m still under warranty but doing it myself versus losing a day leaving it with the dealer was worth it. I can also share pics of the work everyone here emoji4.png

Does that particular Bulletin make you take the seat cushion off?

I bought the same parts for about $6 online, reached under the seat, and snapped them in place.  Added black plastic zip-ties over each end for additional holding power.  The whole thing took me about 5 minutes and I haven't had the movement since ...

The bulletin instructs you to partially remove the seat cushion so that you can remove the white pivot block and add lubricant to the section of the bar where the pivot block sits on

I added a 10 meter / 11 meter radio to my truck. I have been a huge fan of the HR2510 sense I was a teen in the late 80's when I had one. I found one for a good price in great shape on ebay and had to have it. However, there is no simple way to install it so I cut and welded myself some custom mounts to install the radio and antenna. I did my best to make it as clean of an install as I could. The radio is powered by my 2nd battery. Antenna match is spot on and so far the radio works great. I might even get my ham license again. But we will see on that.

I should add that up in the backwoods of Maine (where I live) there is often no cell service. This is the best way to keep in touch with people when you are offroad. Most times it is the only way.

Doing the same with the Yukon’s once I get my lift done next weekend. Stoked.

Can’t wait to hear how this went for you.

I assume you did a lift to go with 4.10s?
