What have you done to your K2 today?

Recommended Posts

I got the idea off when I owned a camaro some of the guys on the camaro forum did it. They said it lasted a while. I know one guy had his on for 2 years and it wasn't as bright as it was new but he just went over it again and looked the same as day 1. I never got the chance to try it on the camaro since I had cloth seats, didn't wanna risk it. But leather it's easy. Just go over the stitch 2-3 times, let it sit for a min or two then wipe with a damp rag to get the excess of the leather. Took me about 2 hours to do the whole truck.

I had a buddy who did that in his camaro. there are a ton of threads of this kind on camaro5. his lasted about a year before he needed to re do it.. driver seat sooner

Airaid CAI and installed my Escort Blendmount (rear view mirror) and hardwired my Escort Live Cord. the Escort Live adds an app on your Smartphone that hooks you to toher users and now your alerts come across on your phone as well. Very cool! If anyone is interested send me a PM and I could probably take a video of how it works.

I thought about getting one of those years ago, but when I looked into you have a monthly fee and there was no way to tell if anyone else had them. Is there a way to see that there are other people in your area with them now?

I don't see other users but I see that alerts they have noted... in the last hour there have been nearly 50 reports ranging form actual police spotted/reported to radar encountered and even traffic cams placed. My area is Daytona Beach to Orlando. It seems to be pretty live and updating regularly and it does it automatically for radar/lidar detection.

The Live cord is $99 with 12 months of service included.

I haven't really noticed it... but now that you've said something I'm sure it will bother me... :) Seriously, it really isn't that much more than the regular trim and it really is a more firm feel than grabbing the steering wheel to get in the truck.

LOL sorry about that.. I just have been thinking about it, but I know the panel is huge itself and then I have a painted vent visor so was just curious to how much vision you lose with it.. I am already having to look around it so just wondering if it adds a lot of blockage or if its workable... I use the wheel to get in, but if the truck is running, well lets just say my wife had a good laugh when I wasnt paying attention lol

got my du-ha in. pretty happy with the function, look and fitment.. however, the strap mounts are a joke to be honest. I can see me fighting with those. going to try to come up with something that cant come loose...

I like the way this detector clamps to the rear view mirror mount and I see it comes with a harness specific for the truck. What was involved in opening up the rear view to connect it? Do you think I could tap into the same harness they gave you to power my dash cam??? That would be pissa so I don't have to run wires down to a power port. Also how do you think that detector compares with the new wireless escort?
