What have you done to your K2 today?

Recommended Posts

Where do I find that build date? I guess Im looking in the wrong place. chuckl1218 where are you located?

Drivers door frame should have a label that shows the date (month/year). Another clue is to look at the cargo lamp button. If it looks like a panel truck, it is an early build. If it looks like a pickup truck, it is a later build.

Ordered a set of the black grid with silver countersink pedals and floor kick plate today from Performance Pedals. They state 3-weeks to manufacture and deliver. They should look sharp with the black interior and floor carpeting.

By any chance prices, photos, where you bought it ? thanks. Btw looks sweet

I added 2x 7 inch light bars as reverse lights that were tapped in the hitch. The switch is on a single pole double throw (on off on ) switch. First on is tapped into reverse lights only on in reverse then off is completely off and the other on is all time on lights. Any question on electrical wiring or setup feel free to ask and price of the led bars was 56$ a pop

PI1127: Information on Elimination of Vehicle Nameplate Badges - (Dec 5, 2013)

Subject: Information on Elimination of Vehicle

Nameplate Badges

Models: 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (Texas Edition - RPO TUF and

High Country Edition - RPO GAJ only) 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 (All Terrain Edition - RPO GATonly)

Condition/Concern

Some customers or dealers may comment that the “Silverado” or “Sierra”
nameplate badge is missing from the side doors of the vehicles on the Texas,
High Country and All Terrain Editions.

Recently a change was made for the Texas/High Country (Chevrolet) and All
Terrain Edition (GMC) trucks that removed the Silverado/Sierra nameplate badges
from the side doors. The change was intended to give a cleaner, less congested
branding appearance and was communicated through a Marketing Administrative
message.

Plant Change Dates

Fort Wayne Built Trucks (VIN Z) – After VIN EZ163318 on October 3, 2013

Silao Mexico (VIN G) – After EG258922 on October 7, 2013

Now back to topic...

Went ahead and put in a small extra light in the console. I noticed last night that it's pretty dark in there even with the stock LED in there.

I agree with that. My 2010 had way too much on the sides, so I took off the moldings, and badges to give it a cleaner look. Thats what I really like about this truck, no moldings and extra badges. Thanks for the info!

My friend sells it. It's 65 a pop total of 130 for 2 lights. I drilled to the end of the hitches and have it on a relay and nice and concealed without the truck I'll but up pictures tomorrow. If need the wiring format and wire guage I'll send over the picture and fuses.
