What have you done to your K2 today?

Recommended Posts

Installed a 1" bottom mount strut spacer to go along with my top mount 1.5" strut spacer in the front.

Groud to center of fender before:

Rear = 40"

Front = 38.5"

Ground to center fender after:

Rear = 40"

Front = 39.5"

Finally happy to have gotten rid of the rake and riding pretty much level now.

Good looking stance above.

My little contribution to my truck today was to order some 25w HIDs for the fogs from HID Guy. Pricey little things. I'll see if they're low enough lumems to actually use with oncoming traffic or if they're like the 35w HIDs I've put in my earlier trucks where they just flame-thrower so big that adjusting doesn't do enough for oncoming traffic. You have to shut the fogs off on my other truck or you blind the other drivers.

Got those pesky radio knobs fixed! Lol.

I took mine in to get an oil change. I mentioned how these do not light up, thinking they wouldn't know anything about it (small dealership). Anyway, the manager didn't have a clue, but said he'd talk to the guy in Service to see what they can do. Well he called me today, said there was a long note put out by Chevy that they wont fix it, and basically to bad.

I guess its not a big deal, but I wish they would have told me all this prior to me buying it. O'well..

Had a pleasant day with the truck today. Took it to the dealer to get recall work performed and pick up license plates. Also had them look at a blemish in the paint on the drivers door that I didn't notice until after the first wash. Got to the dealer and they checked their records and recall work had already been done while it was on the lot waiting to be sold. I didn't have high hopes for the blemish as I expected them to tell me that it was tree sap or bird poop from my house and I would be SOL. But they had their paint guy look at it and confirm that it was bird poop; he took it in the back for 5 minutes and buffed it out right then. So what I was expecting to be a long day at the dealer turned into a short morning.
