What have you done to your K2 today?

Recommended Posts

Yes it is the AVS aeroskin in chrome, I like it better than the others I have had in the past since it is flush and smooth, no snags. I think it is a good fit on these trucks with the chrome across the top already or the smoke for dark colors looks nice. Easy to install, has 3M tape already applied so you just test fit and then remove some of one side of the tape and work your way across the hood. The fit is excellent so the only thing you are watching for when installing is that the distance is exact on both sides of the hood.

I don't quite understand how the AVS aeroskin works. If it is flush with the hood, then how does it make a difference?

Yes it is flush with the hood so it is a hood protector not a bug deflector. It does not change the aerodynamics of your vehicle.

Installed the reverse LED lights.
details. Type of bar and which exact wires did you tap. Also you need to change the tail light reverse yellow bulb so they can match.

I had the Line-x premium spray bed liner done and installed my fold-a-cover G4 elite and personal caddy installed. I also added a bow tie emblem to the caddy, very satisfied with the results.

The 60" bar I had previously installed, I should have been clearer in my post. Yesterday I installed the small LED's in the back of the steps, but the light bar I got on Ebay, link below. I just purchased another 4 wire flat connector so that the light bar can be easily unplugged and replaced if necessary. I opened up the harness protection behind the OEM trailer plugs and ID'd the wires and tapped/soldered there. just verified with a voltmeter as I went.

The small LED's in the step of the bumper I wired into the reverse light wires grn/blk at the plug in the rear light housing. Here is the link to those lights. To be so small and cheap they are pretty bright.

You are right about the changing the reverse bulbs to LED. Once you start LED replacement regular bulbs look horrible. I have LED's in the cargo light, license plate, foot well, and bumper now. Fogs and reverse lights next.

I was at a friends house last week that replaced his kitchen ceiling can lights with LED's and it is a huge difference, so now I need to get some led's for the house!

Very nice truck! Perfect example of why it is hard to beat black!

Installed driver side assist handle and use it. Agree with the "balance" comments. Also, recently changed WeatherTech bedliner to Chevy Bowtie Bedrug and changed Continental Crosscontact LX20 tires to Michelin LTX M/S2. The Michelins ride smoother and much better overall handling.
