What have you done to your K2 today?

Recommended Posts

I tried the "paint stick trick" today to improve my throttle response. I don't know if I didn't do it right or if maybe this isn't as pronounced in the 2018s as it is earlier years, but I can't tell a difference with the shims in there.

Completed the install of DL3 mirrors this morning. I like it. I notice both mirrors look like they might be dimming mirrors if I had a dimming rear view mirror connected to them. That could be my next project.

I want that gauge pod for my wideband. I've messaged that blockhead guy about his that he makes but never got any word back.

Just a wash and wax today, a couple weeks ago I got a Gator roll up tonneau.

It's okay, it was the cheapest one I could find so not gonna complain much lol.

Replaced the battery last week. Expensive! But I suppose I got 6 years out of it so not bad.

In the sometime near future I need to do rear breaks, and front ball joints and maybe bearings... And then maybe I can move onto figuring out what the engine noise I'm hearing is. Oil change mechanic thinks it's a piston noise ?

All of that is taking money away from what I REALLY want to be modding, which is my recently purchased '93 Sierra.

Is this part of the update or do you have to pay for them?

This is tied to a BCM Calibration. So if you are looking into a WAMS Spec BCM cal, this will eventually be an included option.

Keep in mind, that the device has 2 main features.

1. It has out of the box features/options.

2. It is a programming device to program your BCM with custom calibrations. BCM Cals are a separate purchased item.

It wasn't that bad to make. I bought a universal gauge pod and a new panel just in case I messed up. Molded it in with modeling clay to get my form then just fiberglassed over that. Bondoed, sanded smooth, primed and painted.
