What have you done to your K2 today?

Installed my readylift 2.25" level and new upper control arms yesterday. Was fairly easy and I'm really happy with the new look.

My new wheels are waiting in the garage for my tires to come in some time this week. Ordered 285/70/17 Duratracs.

Did you wire them or use a diode? If you wired them, then your reverse lights will also come on with your cargo lights, and likewise, your highs will come on with your fogs. With a wire jumping between the two (of each set) there is nothing to stop it from working in the other direction. Whereas, if you used a diode, depending on where the striped end is at, they will only work one-way.

I used a diode but now thinking about it, having the reverse lights come on with the cargo lights may be cool for what I use them for.

$190 MSRP but I got mine during a big promo sale they had on just the LightShield hood protectors a few weeks ago. I think I ended up paying $115 during the sale.

It is super easy to wire up but I went a different route. They supply 2 screw style wire taps for wiring into your parking lights and a ground wire. I actually used an add-a-fuse right in the fuse box underneath the hood. 28 and 29 are micro 15 amp fuses for the right and left parking lights, respectively. I forgot the add-a-circuits need both fuses so initially I only had the ambers and NO parking lamp, or a parking lamp and NO ambers.....stopped this morning for another micro 15 amp fuse and got it working as intended. For the ground I just grounded it to the vehicle chassis.

They come on whenever the parking lamps come on so basically anytime my fogs come on with the 10-22 diode mod, the ambers also come on.

I forgot to add that it is paintable if you want to color match it to your hood but they will not accept a return once it's painted. The LightShields for the Rams are coming in now with some already painted so I'd assume Chevy trucks won't be too far behind to have them color matched right from AVS. I like the matte look though and can always paint it later if I change my mind.

I spent the last month driving back and forth on a 6 hour run between my new and old houses. Put a lot of miles on 'er and got to actually use 'er as a truck hauling everything that would fit across 3 states. Held up like a dream the whole time.

Now that I'm settled in, I did my first oil change since buying the truck and gave it the full Amsoil treatment: fresh oil, fresh filter, engine flush, and fuel treatment. Installed a Fumoto valve too while I had everything open. Full details in my build thread.

The biggest reward though, is I now live in a state that doesn't require front license plates. Freedom! I really love how much removing the bracket changed the look of the truck, even if it was a pain to remove. Full details in my build thread.

Bet it felt as good as removing a face mask after wearing one for 8 hours feels like.....

I live in Colorado (2 plate state also) and I won't put that ugly white and green plate on my midnight editionuntil the cops force me to. Love the no plate look [emoji108]

Cut off the overload leaf spring. It was way too bouncy even with 2PSI in the bags and traction bars.

So I debadged the truck about a week ago, other than the bowtie in the grille and that I changed to black, I felt the back was too plain so I added the black bowtie to the tailgate, nothing ground breaking everyone has one but hey I did it today lol.
