What did you get?

it's a 2019 Ram 2500 with the 6.7 cummins. It's got basically every option except the sunroof. One of my favorite things is that both front windows have auto up/down. Not sure why they all don't Toyota seems to do all of them but still a huge step up from just driver.

Idk, I didn't see any range increase from mine. Maybe its just happenstance. Youd have to get one and do the swap to see how it affects your fob and truck in particular.
In theory, it shouldn't make. Range difference because its the same exact chip, however, the lt and greater trims with silver sides are made of metal, and they might affect the range. So its a toss up between owners.

He may have gotten better range with the new battery. I didn’t notice any difference on range. My remote has always had pretty good range. But I just like the way they look. Here’s a link for them.

My factory remotes have terrible range, 100 feet away is max...

I got a viper alarm, can start, lock, unlock (pretty much whatever function the factory fob has) from anywhere with the phone app or from my watch and fob gets really good range but it is pricey..D971A41D-E5A6-4C49-A5B1-2B282EC9D162.thumb.jpeg.0f76a42acad9d01cc79d832b56f65be7.jpeg

I bet you do get good range with a aftermarket unit, I know I always have. I can still use my phone app if I want, just think they really missed on the range from factory. I use the Drone app, along with the Compustar on my vette. The range on that remote is about 1/4 miles, plus have the phone app as well, worth even penny. It even gives feedback, vehicle condition, location and more. Pretty much what I would have expected from factory, given the price we pay for a brand new vehicle...

Congratulations on your new truck.

Happy to hear you are liking it.

I gave the truck a good detail, clay bar, hand compound, and used some new stuff I've been using on my C4 and T/A called The Last Coat, man I love this stuff, I swear it's shinier the next day! I'll post up some pics tomorrow, getting pretty dark now.

Installed my Highcountry grille along with black bowtie, the truck had the chain looking LTZ grille which I hated so I removed the chrome links and put a black billet aluminum tube grille inserts in and I liked that a lot better but still wasn't what I was looking for. Really happy with the look, now I'm thinking I may change the bumpers to body color like the Highcountry model. Also finally got and installed the driver's side assist handle, I'm a hundred miles behind a lot of you guys [emoji38]

Shine on her looks fantastic! I need to get my all black truck done. It's becoming a '10 footer' cause of all the highway driving and soap brush scratches. Curious if you still have the chain link inserts laying around?

And to the hundred miles behind us, you'll get there my man. Im sure yours is more paid off that others, its all about how your going about your truck, but of course therein lies the fun of each and every one!

Those chain links are long gone lol, you have to break the tabs off to get them off the grille, and they only fit on the LTZ grille, they won't fit on a LT etc. So they wouldn't do anyone else any good anyway.

The fob casing itself won't improve your range like everyone one else has said. Mine had a cheap battery that was probably near dead. I had to be within 20 feet of my truck for the fob to work. Changing out the battery with a good, and brand new battery got me back up to about 100-150 feet, 150 is lucky and not every time but at least I don't have to go down to the garage to start my truck. Just want to clear that up that it was the battery that got me better range, not the key fob casing.

Ah gotcha and damn, looks like I'll have to find one of those chain link grilles and not jist the inserts then. Love my ltz z71 grille, but i want the chain link laying in the garage just to swap out and change the look from time to time

Truck looks good, and the Tractor Supply sign in the back ground reminds me that I need to go get some dog food.
